Inside the Orchestra’s Tiny Tots Performances at the CU South Denver Natural History Museum 
May 3, 9:30 am – 11:30 am
Tiny Tots gets children truly inside the orchestra by seating the audience on the floor and surrounding them with a 30+ piece orchestra. Designed for children six and under, this 45-minute program gives young ones the chance to interact with the conductor and the musicians and learn about the instruments in the process. Tiny Tots audiences receive an up-close-and-personal performance in a casual, fun environment.

Hosting BEERFEST, BANDS, and BAZAAR over Derby Weekend, May 5-7. TheBigWonderful is proud to work alongside non-profit partner, Revision. Spring Fishing Clinic at Barr Lake State Park

This Spring Fishing Clinic will have 100 FREE poles for the first kids to sign up for a day filled with fishing tips and giveaways! Please call Nature Center for reservations at 303-659-6005.

Free Day at Denver Art Museum

General admission is free on the first Saturday of the month thanks to Your 6 Hometown Toyota Stores and the citizens who support the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD).

Cinco de Mayo Celebration at Outlets at Castle Rock  
May 6, 11:30 am – 2:30 pm
Outlets at Castle Rock, your Outlet for Life, will welcome Colorado families on Saturday, May 6 for a free Cinco de Mayo celebration. The day’s festivities will feature live Ballet Folklórico numbers performed by a local dance troupe in vibrant, traditional décor as well as a Mariachi Band playing fan-favorite songs. While not watching the live performances, shoppers are invited to participate in a center-wide piñata scavenger hunt! Piñatas will be hidden in participating stores around the property and clues to their locations will be published throughout the day on the Outlets at Castle Rock social media pages.

The Denver Mini Derby at Stanley Marketplace 
May 6, 1:00 pm – 6:30 pm
The 2017 Denver Mini Derby brings the spirit of Kentucky Derby right to this great state of Colorado! More than simply a viewing party with unlimited cocktails, the event will feature a LIVE MINI Derby. Join several thousand of your new best Southern-styled friends for the most memorable social experience of the year. There will be two large viewing screens, one inside the 10,000 sq ft event space and one outside near Denver’s own “Churchill Downs”

The Lights Fest 
May 6, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Come enjoy a magical night and memories to last a lifetime. Your ticket includes a packet to be picked up at the event. The packet contains a lantern, marker, and key chain flashlight. Any child under three years old is free to the event.

Sensory Friendly Playtime, WOW! Children’s Museum 
May 7, 8:00 am – 10:00 am
Bring kids with autism spectrum or sensory processing disorders for a special event. The museum will limit admittance to 20 families, turn down sounds and lights, and provide adaptive equipment. Reservations required online
