Deals for Valentines and President’s Day

posted by:

I love that this year I have been seeing the celebration of Galentines (Gal-Valentines) for those of us that don’t have that special someone. There are loads of great Valentines deals – so let’s all take advantage of them – no matter if we have a guy or not. There are lots of buy two meals for X price out there (not many are great DEALS) but I will say I loved the cookies at Kneaders or the chocolate- covered strawberries packaged in a rose box. Something I can get for myself, my neighbors or my friends…or as the manager there, Joe, said, “It’s a great idea for all of those with a Y chromosome.”

JollyBod exclusive discount. Do you have dry skin from Colorado’s long winters? Centennial-based JollyBod’s lotions, lip balms, body butters and salt scrubs are the perfect solution. A mom and dad team created this line of products to combat their son’s severely dry skin. They researched and experimented with professionals and chemists and eventually came up with natural, petroleum-free moisturizers and scrubs that really worked. They traveled the world looking for the perfect scents and encapsulated those experiences through essential oils and natural fragrances within each product. JollyBod is offering you a great discount offer: Enter “MHM2017” at checkout for 20% off your entire cart! Expires Feb. 28, 2017.

QDoba. Qdoba is celebrating Valentine’s Day by bringing back Qdoba For A Kiss. On February 14, score a free entrée for your loved one just by sharing a smooch at the register and purchasing an entrée. Kiss your significant other, a pic of your celeb crush, or even a willing stranger – it all counts!

Garbanzo’s. Don’t settle for flowers and chocolate when gyros and falafel are waiting for you at Garbanzo. This Valentine’s Day, buy an entrée and we’ll give you one free. It’s a deliciously simple way to wow your special someone, especially if you don’t tell them about the whole getting-an-entrée-free thing. This sweetheart of a deal is only available on Valentine’s Day.

President’s Day. It really doesn’t matter if you support this president or not. They will certainly celebrate because the kids are out of school on Monday. Here are a few ideas for you.

  • Denver Botanic Gardens (on York St) has a free day. Yes, free entrance for Colorado residents thanks to the SCFD. Also, National Parks are free on President’s Day.
  • Not knowing what Mother Nature might do for weather – 70 degrees or 30? It’s good to have a few indoor options. • Shopping Deals: I’m being told that appliances (Best Buy), furniture (mattresses – but really, when are they NOT on sale?), tech (Best Buy) and fall/winter clothing (Macy’s, Kohls) will be the big sales this year.
