Deals: Holiday Shows, Half-price Skating and More!

This week I will be finalizing all the plans for Thanksgiving. (Next week will be all about the deals for Black Friday – HELLO, I’m a deals blogger). This week, I want to thank YOU for reading my posts each week. 
 
Boston Market. You probably know that several area grocery stores will prepare your full Thanksgiving dinner. But did you know Boston Market will do it for you (and they are open Thanksgiving day if you have an “oops” like I did a couple years ago OR if you don’t get any left-overs when you go to family for the dinner). You can order a full meal with all the trimmings as well as appetizers for under $10 per person!
 
Winter Used Book Sale. If you love to read, don’t miss the Friends of the Denver Public Library’s Winter Used Book Sale, November 17 to 19, in the Conference Center of the Central Library. There will be more than 35,000 used children’s books, cookbooks, novels, popular CDs/DVDs and more — all bargain priced. Hardbacks and DVDs are $3, trade paperbacks & CDs $2, audiobooks $5 and mass market paperbacks just $1 each. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Address: 10 W. 14th Avenue Pkwy. Half-price skating. Skate into the holidays at  the Rink at Belmar. In celebration of its opening weekend Thursday to Sunday (Nov. 17-20), bring a new toy or non-perishable food item to donate to The Action Center and skate for halfprice from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Admission includes skate rental. General admission before the discount is $9.50/adults, $7.50/children, $5/military, FREE/senior 65+. 408 S. Teller St., Lakewood.
 
Groupon. Restaurants, meals and things to do are on sale 25% off at Groupon.com (which is a pretty great deal since Groupon stuff is already discounted at about half off!). Use the code HEYTHERE. It is for new customers only!
 
Define. DEFINE body & mind introduced a new fitness concept to Denver’s LoHi neighborhood last month incorporating barre, cycling and yoga infused classes, and now the studio is celebrating. There will be an official Grand Opening party this Wednesday, November 16th, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Fitness fanatics will enjoy FREE 15-minute sample classes of DEFINE body and DEFINE rev. Sign up for free classes here.
 
Risas Dental. Risas Dental. Black Friday Deals from Risas Dental and Braces that are available NOW through Black Friday, Nov. 25th. Denver Center Holiday Shows.    The Denver Center for the Performing Arts’ DCPAccess discount ticket program continues in the 2016/17 season with reduced-price tickets to the upcoming shows:
•                $10 tickets to A Christmas Carol available starting Nov 15 at 12pm
•                $10 tickets to The SantaLand Diaries available starting Nov 15 at 12pm
•                75% off Hedwig and the Angry Inchavailable starting Nov 29 at 12pm
   Eligible performances may be viewed online at denvercenter.org/DCPAccess. Guests may purchase up to 4 tickets per production. Once the inventory is made available, the option to purchase tickets will appear for all eligible performances. Vail Resorts. Are you doing the snow dance like I am? It doesn’t seem to be working! While the ski areas aren’t open for the season YET. They will be. Season passes advertised as being sold through this weekend, November 20. If you plan to go just a few times – the way to go is to get a season pass or a 4-pack. (Keystone 4-pack is just $199/person making it just $50 per day to ski. The regular day rate will be over $120. So, it’s a screaming deal).
