The Great Pumpkin Haul: Win Tickets!

The Great Pumpkin Haul: Win Tickets!

On October 22 at 9:30 a.m., the Great Pumpkin Haul involves strength, agility and hauling a pumpkin through a 2 mile cross country course.  Before the “Haul” you will pick out a pumpkin from the patch and carry it over, under and through a variety of fun obstacles.

pumpkinhaul1This is year #5 for the Great Pumpkin Haul at Chatfield Botanic Gardens and expected attendance will be over 2,000 people.  The “haul” is a great event for all ages.  Mini pumpkins are provided for the kiddos to haul (or a less inclined adult) and entire families participate in the event together.

The event kicks off with a free Pumpkin Bootcamp led by Orange Theory Fitness where participants will use their pumpkins in a tough full body workout.

There will be awards for the fastest hauler, a “tough pumpkin” award to the hauler carrying the heaviest pumpkin, costume contest and also a “double hauler baler” category for those brave enough to take on 2 pumpkins solo.

Post-Haul, participants enjoy a fall festival which includes seasonal brews, hot apple cider, food trucks, a Pumpkin yoga class to stretch out, hay rides, a free kids course and discounted tickets to the annual corn maze.

The Haul benefits Camp Como, a Christian based non-profit that organizes adventures and camps to get kids outside and active!
