Welcome to September!  From A Taste of Colorado to the Boulder Creek Hometown Festival to Supper with Snakes, there are plenty of fun things to do in Denver this week. For the full listings, please go to our event calendar.

A Taste of Colorado at Civic Center Park 
Sept. 2 – 4 
Welcome to Denver’s Labor Day weekend tradition! More than 50 of Coloradoans’ favorite restaurants and food establishments will gather at the Festival, featuring small portions to full meals. Enjoy carnival rides, games, play equipment, a great variety of free, hands-on craft activities, plus plenty of music, magic, clowns and puppets on KidzStage, concerts and over 275 booths of the Arts & Crafts Marketplace. 2016 Labor Day Lift Off at Memorial Park 
Sept. 3,  5:30 am – 6:30 pm
Start your morning off right with a hot air balloon mass ascension of over 50 balloons accompanied by breakfast and drinks from local vendors. Activities will continue throughout the day with skydiving demonstrations, wakeboarding exhibitions, paddle boarding, live entertainment, and beer gardens. CeleBRARTE and Cuentos del Arte First Free Saturday at Denver Art Museum 
Sept. 3, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
General admission is free on the first Saturday of the month thanks to Your 6 Hometown Toyota Stores and the citizens who support the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD).

Boulder Creek Hometown Festival at Boulder Creek Corridor 
Sept. 3 – 5 

Just as the Boulder Creek Festival kicks off the summer in Boulder County, the Boulder Creek Hometown Festival is the perfect bookend to close out the summer event season. This event features arts & crafts exhibitors in Central Park, live performances at the Bandshell, the Hometown Fest 5K, interactive kids & sports expo, a food court & beer garden, and much more

Free Grandparent’s Day at Denver Firefighter’s Museum 
Sept. 3, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
The Museum offers not only outstanding exhibits on the history of fire fighting in Denver focusing on the Denver Fire Department, but innovative and exciting hands-on activities that allow visitors to interact with the traditional exhibits.

FISE World Series at Various Locations
Sept. 3 – 5 
Don’t miss this entire weekend dedicated to action sports. See skateboarding, BMX and flatland competitions for the pros and amateurs, expected to be broadcast to 50 countries.

Fort Collins Temple Open House at the Fort Collins LDS Temple 
Aug 19, 10:00 am – Sep 10, 6:00 pm
Have you ever been curious to see the inside of an LDS (Mormon) Temple? Prior to a new temple opening, the general public, including children of all ages, is invited to attend an open house of the Fort Collins Colorado Temple. Admission is free, but reservations are requested.

Supper with Snakes at the Southridge Recreation Center Tickets 
Sept. 3, 5:00 pm
Back by popular demand! Have a fear or fascination of snakes? Join us for a catered dinner and live animal presentation focusing on these beautiful creatures. Complete with a myth busting Q&A and a meet-and-greet where you can hold and get your picture taken with a real snake. Recommended age 5+. Ticket required for all guests.

Starlight Movie: Goosebumps at Festival Park 
Sept. 3, 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm
You family will love this street fair and movie in the park with food trucks, beer booth and DJ.
