Diapers are a basic need for children in the United States, as essential to their health and well-being as food, shelter and a parent’s love. Yet many families struggle to afford diapers, and few resources exist to help them. Diapers cost $18 per week, or $936 per year, on average per child; Babies need 6-10 diapers a day! A lack of diapers has many detrimental outcomes for children and families’ health, economic, emotional well-being and educational opportunities. Also, on Aug. 18, Great Play will be running special free trial classes on Wednesday 8/17 and Thursday 8/18 to kick off their Fall Programs – reserve a spot to join the fun and save.
