Deals: Learn to Bike Program, JeffCo Fair, Broncos Training Camp
In our house summer is officially over–we started school this week! Does it feel like you start school too when the kids do? It sure feels that way to me as I drive back and forth in circles to the school and back multiple times a day. Pick up, drop off, pick up and back again.

Stuff for Students. At Bright Horizons, they understand that your child’s education and care is a priority and that choosing the right program is a big decision. Their programs empower children from infancy on to become confident, successful learners and secure, caring people. Visit their schools during the first week of August to discover the joys of learning at their Open House and give back to the community. Bright Horizons is partnering with 9News to collect school supplies for “Stuff for Students” and if you bring in an item, they’ll give you a free gift during the entire month of August (*while supplies last).

Bicycle Village Free Learn to Bike Program. Kids three and up can call your local Bicycle Village location (Littleton, Westminster, Colorado Springs, Boulder or Aurora) to reserve a spot for the FREE one-hour open session held every Sundaymorning through September 25. At the event kids are fitted with the right-sized bike, get a strong dose of safety tips and importance of helmets. Plus, score a nearly 50% discount on the purchase of selected Raleigh youth bikes. While you are there join the Bike Trade Up program getting half off new bikes each year.

Francesca’s. One of my teen daughter’s favorite places to shop is Francesca’s. They are having a buy one get one half off sale. YAY! Plus, the amazing guy working at the Aspen Grove location this last weekend was amazing at giving my daughter tips and hints – which made ME love the store too.

Chick-Fil-A. Being out and about this weekend was good for me, because we stopped by Chick Fil A when I noticed a deal posted on their door! Every Wednesday through August they are offering a FREE breakfast entrée from 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. It doesn’t appear to require any kind of purchase to take advantage. But, it is one per person.

JeffCo Fair and Festival. My friends over at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds are excited to announce the totally new JeffCo Fair and Festival! The event will take the best of the best from fairs, festivals and modern fun. This Thursday (August 11 through August 14). FUN, interactive, engaging and traditional experiences with a focus on locality. Special events include a Family Movie Night, Mutton Bustin’, Bull Riding and Colorado professional Rodeo Association Rodeo. The Jeffco Fair & Festival will be divided into multiple “zones” including Fair Central (emphasis on agriculture), Expo Plaza, The Hub (with two concert stages and the Jeffco Brew Experience), Be Wild, Jeffco (outdoor adventures), Jeffco Then & Now (history and culture), 4H & FFA Farm (livestock and petting farm) and Rodeo Arena.

Denver Broncos Training Camp. If you weren’t able to score some of the ½ price Broncos tickets that went on sale about a week ago (and sold out within an hour), the next best thing is watching them practice. Practice is free and open to the public. It is open from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. On August 8,9,13,15,16 & 17. They do have details and policies listed on their website.

Free performance. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 11 to 13 at 7 p.m., the Colorado Shakespeare Festival transforms The Green in Stapleton into 1930s Paris in a hilarious rendition of ‘The Comedy of Errors.’ Most folks paid top dollar to see Shakespeare’s popular farce  with the same cast, costumes and staging in Boulder, but these performances are FREE. Bring low lawn chairs or a blanket to enjoy this grassy lawn space in the heart of the neighborhood at E. 29th Ave. and Roslyn St.

Concerts, Movies and More. Be sure to continue checking our list of FREE events. There are just a few more weeks of free outdoor concerts and movies.
