Denver International Festival. Join us for the first annual Denver International Festival on Saturday, July 23rd from 10am – 8pm.  This FREE community event will feature 30+ restaurants and food trucks, vendors, beer garden, live music and dance performances, DJs and live interactive art. My Denver Card. Who loves freebies?  Youth, ages 5-18, can have a did to the city! Gain free access to the city’s 23 recreation centers, 29 swimming pools and cultural facilities, as well as the Denver Public Library, 13 arts, culture and science organizations and attractions, including the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, Denver Zoo, History Colorado Center, Buffalo Bill Museum and Denver Center for the Performing Arts and more. The program applies to all students in grades K-12 who are residents of Denver. Signing up is easy:  DPS students can sign up during  school registration or in person at one of the Denver recreation centers; non-DPS students can sign up in person at one of the Denver recreation centers or on the MY Denver Card site Online Service Center. Go here for more info. 
 
Play-Well TEKnologiesPlay-Well TEKnologies provides LEGO-Engineering summer camps and after school enrichment programs. They are currently offering many summer camps across Colorado and along with their  non-profit, Play-Well Outreach underprivileged kids in Denver can take advantage of the camps for only $10 for an entire week! The camps are centered on teaching STEM concepts through hands-on learning and building with LEGO. Play-Well TEKnologies has different themed camps to choose from. Bass Pro Shop Summer Camp. I can’t afford to send my kids off to camp for weeks at a time. That is why I love Bass Pro Shop’s summer camp. June 25 – July 24 (yep, a whole month long) the store (which is a field trip unto itself), will host summer activities like free catch and release, casting clinics, shooting gallery, crafts, photos and more. They even give you a chance to win pins (kind of like badges for boy/girl scouts) when you attend and complete camps.

Golden Bike Library. I love biking and I love libraries! What could be better? Nothing!  The Golden Bike Library is a bike share program, where residents, visitors, local employees and students can “check-out” a bike for local use in Golden. Located at the Golden Visitors Center at 1010 Washington, the Golden Bike Library will offer 40 bikes available for two hour rentals for free, or a $10 daily fee.  Bikes will be available on Thursday-Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. What’s even better is they have all different kinds of bike (including kids bicycles).
  
Harkins Summer Movies. Harkins Theatres’ popular annual kid’s movie program, Summer Movie fun, kicks off Monday, June 6. Season tickets for all 10 movies are just $5.
