There are plenty of events in Denver this week including Colorado Renaissance Festival Opening Day, A Taste of Puerto Rico and Youth One Book, One Denver Summer Launch. See our event calendar for additional information.

Nerf Open Play: Summer Kick Off! at Clement Park 
June 10,  11:00 am – 5:00 pm
Blast off into Summer! Head to Littleton at Clement Park for a fun open play event where there will be a mega arena with exciting Nerf battles all day long.

Free Day at Four Mile Historic Park
June 10, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Travel back to 1859…for free! Enjoy a tour of the Four Mile House Museum – a Denver Landmark, historic demonstrations, and meeting their many farm animals.

Carnegie Hall Kick-off Concert at Aspen Academy 
June 10, 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
This is a free event with an encouraged “pay-what-you-can” donation. Proceeds go towards the Young Artists Orchestra’s Carnegie Hall tour in June.

Denver Mini Maker Faire at Denver Museum of Nature and Science
June 11 – 12 
The 3rd annual Denver Mini Maker Faire comes again to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. Their theme this year is Building The Future and they are focusing on leading edge innovations and technologies.

Cockpit Demo Day at Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum
June 11, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Kids of all ages can climb aboard select Wings aircraft and get a pilot’s perspective of the instruments and controls. They can set their imagination free as they soar through the billowing clouds and navigate the sky in these historic aircraft.

Colorado Renaissance Festival Opening Day! 
June 11 at 10:00 am – 6:30 pm
Flashback to the 16th Century and journey through a medieval city. Enjoy full-armor jousting, tasty turkey legs, music and a marketplace featuring more than 200 artisans. Celebrating 40 years in 2016.

Summer Art Market at West Wash Park neighborhood at 2nd & Grant 
June 11- 12 
Artist demonstration schedule includes Silverpoint Drawing,  Abstract Painting and Hand-building Ceramics.

Youth One Book, One Denver Summer Launch at Tattered Cover 
June 11, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Join Denver Arts & Venues and author Jennifer Chambliss Bertman at the Tattered Cover on Colfax as they launch the 2016 Youth One Book, One Denver program. There will be FREE activities for the kids including art, science and a scavenger hunt. Meet the author and get your book signed.

ManCraftival Summer Market
June 11, 2:00 pm – 9:00 pm
ManCraftival returns for its second year and will fill South Broadway’s VFW Post 2461, inside and out, with more than 60 male makers and their crafted items ranging from beard oil to bow ties, lighting to leather, pickles to pinball, and everything in-between.

A Taste of Puerto Rico, Civic Center Park 
June 12, 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
The A Taste of Puerto Rico (ATOPR) Festival is deeply rooted in the Colorado community as the largest Caribbean Festival in the state. The event attracts 20,000 + festival attendees each year. ATOPR is a fun, family-oriented event with special attractions, musical acts, cultural offerings and some of the most delicious Puerto Rican cuisine found in Colorado.

Nosy Neighbors, Chautauqua Community House 
June 11, 2:00 pm
Behold Nosy Neighbors, from the creators of last year’s fringe hit Wanda & the Wave! Nosy Neighbors is a new work of clown theatre for all ages. It’s for anyone who hasn’t got the fine art of friendship totally figured out.

Jewish culture through stories for Kids – at the Library at Belmar Library 
June 12, 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Storytelling has been part of Jewish culture from earliest times, and to this day remains a defining aspect of Jewish life. With humor, warmth and wisdom, Jewish stories entertain, teach and fascinate listeners of all ages and backgrounds.
