Amante Coffee (1612 17th St., Denver, plus three locations in Boulder) – All Amante Coffee locations will be open on Mother’s Day and will be offering a special signature cocktail – the “Everything Nice” – for moms for just $5. The drink will consist of tequila and Amaro Lucano, and will be served garnished with an orange slice on the rocks in an old-fashioned glass. Amante Coffee will also be offering special Mimosas and Bloody Marys for $5 on Mother’s Day.

Sprouts Farmers Market. Holy Guacamole! Now through Wednesday, May 4, avocados are just 34¢ each. If they’re sold out, be sure to snag a raincheck which never expires.  While you’re at it, grab some roma tomatoes to throw in that guac: they’re on sale for 50¢ (per pound) and strawberries for just $1.88 (1-lb. package.) There are 29 stores in Colorado.

Denver Mattress Firm Stores Host Clothing Drive for Foster Kids.  Monday, May 2 – Sunday, June 26, 2016, all 54 Mattress Firm stores in the Denver area will host a clothing drive, the first of Mattress Firm Foster Kids’ donation drives to benefit local foster youth and families. Mattress Firm will accept clothing and monetary contributions, which will be donated to Advocates for Children, Denver CASA, CASA of Adams and Broomfield Counties, CASA of Jefferson & Gilpin Counties, Kids Crossing and Voices for Children at the end of the eight-week drive.

Free Fitness Classes. Civic Center MOVES is a free fitness series for all fitness levels produced by the nonprofit Civic Center Conservancy and sponsored by Connect for Health Colorado. Learn to Stand Up Paddleboard with the kids for FREE at Avid4 Adventure Family Days.  Combine surfing with kayaking and you’ve got stand up paddleboarding (SUP). SUP is the fastest-growing water sport in the world and a great way for families to be active together. Avid4 Adventure, a multi-sport adventure summer camp will be teaching families (kids ages 5+ with their parents) to SUP together during its two FREE Avid4 Adventure Family Days.  May 7th– Chatfield State Park (gravel ponds)  9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. & 3:00 p.m. Pre-registration with a $10 refundable deposit is required, please register here:

Kids Eat Free. Now through May 31, kids eat free at all MAD Greens restaurants. During the promotion, kids are welcome to enjoy any item off of their Kids’ Menu, but we especially hope they’ll enjoy our recently-introduced Awesome Box and Super Box. Designed to please even the pickiest young eaters, each box meal features a choice of fresh ingredients such as Grilled Citrus Chicken, pasta, edamame, carrot sticks, apples, ranch dip and a kids’ drink. 

Women’s Adventure Camp.  Grab your girlfriends or sisters! On August 19th – August 21st, women ages 18 and older are invited to attend this unique camp to hone their adventure skills and play in the beautiful Rocky Mountains at Camp Chief Ouray. Camp activities include archery, mountain biking, sunrise hikes, back country skills courses, canoeing, climbing wall, high ropes course, riflery, swimming and zip lining. Evening adventures will include campfires and s’mores (of course!) plus campfire cooking with overnight camping. Cost is $250 ($230 for YMCA Members) and guests who sign up with 3 friends will all receive $15 off their registration. Two nights lodging and meals from Friday night through Sunday lunch are all included.

Lookout Mountain Nature Center staff and volunteer naturalists inspire kids and adults to connect with the natural world. Interactive exhibits take visitors on a tour of the flora and fauna of the foothills ecosystem. Kids enjoy a hands-on play room and observation room. At each turn, visitors discover earth-friendly elements of the building’s sustainable design, including floors made from recycled train boxcars.
