I tried the new Cycle Bar in Greenwood Village (Landmark) last week. I am usually pretty bored with spin classes. I prefer to be outside. I also prefer almost ANY other class. Zumba, Turbo, Kick Boxing, you name it…to spin. But I was quite surprised when I enjoyed CycleBar. It was sort of a cross between a spin class and a night club party complete with pumping great music and a darkened room (so no one could see that I look no less ridiculous spinning than I do dancing).

Free Tax Help for Families. Tax Help Colorado will operate 26 free tax sites across Colorado, most of them on community college campuses. The FREE service is offered by IRS-certified college students. Front Range locations include: Aurora Central High School, Adams County Government Center, Front Range Community College in Brighton, Adams City High School, Abraham Lincoln High School, Emily Griffith Technical College, Global Leadership Academy, Manual High School, Red Rocks Community College in Lakewood, Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, Thornton High School, Front Range Community College in Westminster, DeVry University in Westminster and Morgan Community College in Fort Morgan and Burlington.
MSU Denver’s Center for Visual Art (CVA) on Santa Fe. The Young Artist Studio is a free after-school program for middle and high school students to come and make art with MSU Denver art education students. Hair Deals. I have some grey hairs. I don’t think I’m alone and get my hair highlighted every couple months. But I recently told my friend a way I save money on this. I go to a beauty school. Yep. There are several around town (my favorite is the Aveda Institute downtown). The students need to get practice on a variety of services. You have a student who will do your hair but you also have a supervisor that checks the student’s work. All at a fraction of the cost! A few others are Stacey James Institute, Empire Beauty School and Paul Mitchell School.
Aspen Deal. Aspen Snowmass has extended the Kids Ski Free package purchase deadline throughFebruary 22, 2016. Rent a minimum 2-days children’s ski or snowboard equipment (ages 7 to 12) from Four Mountain Sports and receive a free child’s lift ticket valid at all four Aspen Snowmass mountains (Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass). Children will receive a free lift ticket for the same number of days as their paid rentals. Furthermore, kids receive 30% off Child Group Lessons with Aspen Snowmass’ world-famous Ski & Snowboard Schools when purchasing seven or more days. The package must be booked by Feb. 22, 2016 for travel dates after Mar. 1, 2016. In addition to the new 7-12 Kids Ski Free Program, children six and under always ski for free at Aspen Snowmass (no strings attached). Kids Ski Free Package must be booked through a contracted Tour.
