I am a deals girl. I love to get something for cheap and if it is free even better! But I find that I can be a bit skeptical when someone tells me that something is free. It sort of seems like, “Ok, what is the catch?” So I have to tell you I questioned things when my friend Bruce, with Solar City told me there is no upfront out of pocket cost to get solar – and save money on my monthly energy bill (my parents house). The 57th annual Colorado Garden & Home Show, will be held Feb. 13 – 21, 2016 at the Colorado Convention Center, is a fantastic show for anyone looking for the latest in home design, landscaping and décor. The show also offers families a chance to escape the winter and enjoy more than 10,000 blooming flowers; 11 inspiring landscaped gardens with rich colors, fragrances and textures; and a 5,500-square foot entry garden. Bass Pro Shops. Through February 21, the Spring Fishing Classic is taking place at Bass Pro Shop. MSU Denver’s Center for Visual Art (CVA) on Santa Fe. The Young Artist Studio is a free after-school program for middle and high school students to come and make art with MSU Denver art education students. Cycle Bar. CycleBar, a new concept in indoor cycling that offers a high energy workout in a rock concert-like atmosphere. CycleBar is a national franchise entering the Denver market, with its first location in the Landmark development at 7600 Landmark Way in early February. It’s similar to SoulCycle and they are offering a free week of classes to introduce Denver to the concept Feb. 11-21st. (I’ll be there Wednesday at 6 p.m. – if you want to ride with me).
Aspen Deal. Aspen Snowmass has extended the Kids Ski Free package purchase deadline through February 22, 2016. Rent a minimum 2-days children’s ski or snowboard equipment (ages 7 to 12) from Four Mountain Sports and receive a free child’s lift ticket valid at all four Aspen Snowmass mountains (Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass). Children will receive a free lift ticket for the same number of days as their paid rentals. Furthermore, kids receive 30% off Child Group Lessons with Aspen Snowmass’ world-famous Ski & Snowboard Schools when purchasing seven or more days. The package must be booked by Feb. 22, 2016 for travel dates after Mar. 1, 2016. In addition to the new 7-12 Kids Ski Free Program, children six and under always ski for free at Aspen Snowmass (no strings attached). Kids Ski Free Package must be booked through a contracted Tour.
