Denver Deal: Kid’s consignment sale, free days, Colorado Garden and Home Show

The collective yay that happened over the city with the Broncos win left me hoarse and a little deaf. The unique thing about the Broncos winning is that it pulls together the entire city. The collective “WE” have won. We have something to celebrate and cheer. Broncos fans are young and old, of every nationality, of every social class. Indeed Denver, WE have won.  Who will be going to the city-wide Broncos celebration? Entertainment starts at 10 a.m., the parade at noon and the rally at 1 p.m.

Pretzelmaker. Pretzelmaker wants you to download their app. They are offering $3 off a cinnamon sugar pretzel when you download the new app. You will get points for purchases. 

Colorado Garden and Home Show. The 57th annual Colorado Garden & Home Show, will be heldFeb. 13 – 21, 2016 at the Colorado Convention Center, is a fantastic show for anyone looking for the latest in home design, landscaping and décor. The show also offers families a chance to escape the winter and enjoy more than 10,000 blooming flowers; 11 inspiring landscaped gardens with rich colors, fragrances and textures; and a 5,500-square foot entry garden. Newsies. The Disney musical Newsies is coming to Denver! (Yay!) The musical is based on the newsboys strike in New York City in 1899. Get your tickets now for their special Kids’ Night on Broadway, Mar 24 at 6:30pm. Kids get the star treatment.  Punchbowl Social. Another school holiday is coming up you might need an idea to keep busy with the kids. Why not head over to Punch Bowl Social at 65 Broadway for free kids bowling on Monday, February 15th?  From 11am – 2pm kids under 15 years old bowl free, they just need to be accompanied by a parent or adult. There’s plenty of other activities to enjoy at Punch Bowl Social including ping pong, (one of my faves) skee-ball, private karaoke rooms, vintage arcade & pinball games and shuffleboard. Check out the shareable punches (available in kid-friendly non-alcoholic options), decadent floats and milkshakes and tasty lunch items including the popular Chicken & Waffles, Adobo Marinated Mushroom Tacos and Seared Tuna & Soba Noodles for the grown-ups.

Colorado PGA. The Colorado PGA has asked for our help. They are looking for a few moms (and dads) whose kids (18 and under) have shown interest in playing golf. They have redesigned their website and would just like to get some opinions. They are hosting a lunch at the Highlands Ranch Golf Club from 11:30-1:30. Plum Consignment. One of my favorite consignment stores in town, Plum Consignment is having a sale! It is the last week of their progressive sale get  up to  50% on seasonal merchandise. 

Aspen Deal. Aspen Snowmass has extended the Kids Ski Free package purchase deadline throughFebruary 22, 2016. Rent a minimum 2-days children’s ski or snowboard equipment (ages 7 to 12) from Four Mountain Sports and receive a free child’s lift ticket valid at all four Aspen Snowmass mountains (Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass). Children will receive a free lift ticket for the same number of days as their paid rentals. Furthermore, kids receive 30% off Child Group Lessons with Aspen Snowmass’ world-famous Ski & Snowboard Schools when purchasing seven or more days. The package must be booked by Feb. 22, 2016 for travel dates after Mar. 1, 2016. In addition to the new 7-12 Kids Ski Free Program, children six and under always ski for free at Aspen Snowmass (no strings attached). Kids Ski Free Package must be booked through a contracted Tour.
