A Taste of Colorado Contest: Win one of 10 $50 gift cards!

Denver’s Labor Day Weekend mainstay is back! A Taste of Colorado is celebrating its 32nd year Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 7 and we’re giving away 10 $50 gift certificates. And, as always, this food, music, arts & crafts, and entertainment festival in downtown’s Civic Center Park is free admission.

A Taste of Colorado features six entertainment stages, including the Main Stage. Legendary rockers KANSAS kick things off on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. Singer-songwriter Mary Lambert headlines Saturday at 1 p.m., while Morris Day and The Time bring the funk at 7:30 p.m. Soulful Christian artist Chris August performs Sunday at 1:30 p.m., and Joan Jett and The Blackhearts will rock out at 7:30 p.m. Wrap up your Labor Day Weekend on Monday at 1 p.m. with the tunes of country singer Craig Campbell and the smooth melodies of Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemakers at 5 p.m.

But it wouldn’t be A “Taste” of Colorado without the food! More than 50 of Coloradoans’ favorite restaurants and food establishments will gather at the festival and feature small portions to full meals. Returning favorites include Bayou Bob’s, City Pop, Falafel King, Grammy’s Goodies, Mustard’s Last Stand, Tocabe, and more. Who’s new to the festival? The list includes Arapahoe Cafe, Large Marge’s Philly Cheesesteaks, NuHu Mongolian Grill, and White Fence Farm, to name just a few.

The Albert Bartlett Culinary Showcase presented by 630 KHOW will features local and nationally-renowned chefs and experts, including Troy Guard and Darren Pusateri from Guard and Grace, The Food Network’s Keegan Gerhard, Matt Selby from Central Bistro & Bar, and Kevin Grossi from Lola offering tips and techniques that festivalgoers can take home to their own kitchens.

Attendees can also find unique arts and crafts, home and gift items, furniture, jewelry, imports and more in over 275 booths of the Arts & Crafts Marketplace. Explore original works in Fine Art in the Park, with a variety of mediums created by artists from around the country. And check out the Home & Lifestyles area, featuring a diverse selection of products and services.

TASTE_MON(600x395)The whole family can have fun with music, magic, clowns and puppets on the KidzStage presented by MIX 100, and the KidZone will feature free, hands-on craft activities for children of all ages. Enjoy carnival rides and games, Saturday through Monday, presented by KOOL 105.

Nursing mothers and families can visit the Baby Oasis, a convenient area located in the KidZone for parents to nurse, change diapers, and relax in a private environment complete with a rocking chair. An assortment of supplies will be provided, including diapers and baby wipes.

Admission to A Taste of Colorado is free; festival tickets are needed to purchase all beverages, food, and carnival rides – these are sold in strips of 15 for $10. Tickets can be purchased using cash at any of the ticket booths located throughout the festival. ATMs are located near most ticket booths.  

Plan ahead by visiting for the most up-to-date information, including road closures and the variety of options to access Civic Center Park, such as free bike barking, B-cycle, the 16th Street MallRide shuttle, and light rail. Festival hours are Friday, Sept. 4, 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 5, and Sunday, Sept. 6, 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Monday, Sept. 7, 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visit or call (303) 295-6330 for more information.
