5 Favorite Places for Date Night in Denver

5 Favorite Places for Date Night in Denver

We’re a Denver couple with three kids that stays sane by adhering to our #1 rule of 1-2 date nights per week. You heard me, per week. We run hard chasing littles by day and search for good food and drinks by night. Here’s our Top 5 Denver date night food spots.

Pikkas

We love to try new foods and the Peruvian at Pikkas didn’t disappoint. We were hooked at first bite and thankfully were out with good friends so we could demand to try their entrees as well. Everything was fresh and amazing with out of the ordinary cocktails on the menu (I had the cucumber and black pepper martini). Try the ceviche and Frijoles con Seco and be ready for more because you’ll want to try everything else on the menu.

Vesta Dipping Grill

You will sauce your face off at Vesta. We had no idea how much we love dipping sauces until we ate there. We found out we love dipping so much that I bought their cookbook on our way out the door. We recommend every single sauce (try them with the chorizo spiced pork and creole prawns). And for the love of everything holy, if you grill in the summer, buy their book!!

Spuntino

A tiny setting for amazing food. We tried all of the appetizers (yup, all of them) and loved each one more than the last. Wonderful cheese choices and fabulous wine selection. We learned that we do not prefer skate fish (salty as a mother) but otherwise the food was out of this world and reasonably priced across the board. I can confidently say order the pasta special and you will be thrilled with whatever they lay in front of you. Great spot for a romantic dinner. Make sure to finish with one of their desserts..totally worth it!

 The Cheese Company Deli

Heading on a day or evening picnic date? Cheese Company Deli is the place to stock your basket. They have everything you could want from made-to-order sandwiches to side salads and hot entrees all seasoned to near perfection. Tons of munchies, pickles and sauces for sale and many packable drink options as well. We also love to stop in and bring home dinner when I’m not in the mood to cook. An always friendly staff makes it quick and easy.

Sushi Den – Sushi Making Class

This was an awesome date night class with amazing instruction. We left as sushi making pros. Seriously. The freshest ingredients made into some fabulous sushi rolls paired with delicious wines. We laughed a lot (the chef was hilarious) and really enjoyed the evening. As an awesome bonus, we were added to an email list that gives us access to attending Sushi Den food events throughout the year. Heck yes.

  1. Really love Peruvian so Pikkas is now on my list. We don’t have any regular spots but always love an evening out at the Briarwood and Zengo.

  2. We enjoy anything along Larimer Square for the atmosphere. It’s fun to just get out!

  3. Would love to give a sushi-making class to hubby for Christmas but the Sushi Den link says “Page Not Found.” Do you have another one?
