Laugh, Cry and Listen to These MileHighMama Mothers

posted by:

Did you miss last year’s inaugural “Listen To Your Mother” shows in Denver and Boulder? No worries. The short vignettes from 2013 have been archived so you can laugh and cry in understanding and amusement from the comfort of your own home.

ltymInterested in making a Girls Night Out for this year’s Listen To Your Mother show? You’ve got two options.

In the meantime, grab a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy these 4-minute clips from three MileHighMama columnists.

Gretchen White, mother of nine who writes at Lifenut, shares about letting go and taking a step back in the touching “Switching Strawberries.”

Aimee Giese mom, wife, curator of Colorado music (among other things) and writer at Greeblehaus, reads about the difficulties of raising her son in the emotional “Shattered.”

Lori Holden, mom via adoption and writer at Lavender Luz, tells about the day she truly felt like a mom after the adoption of her daughter in the hilarious “The Day I Earned My Mom Badge.”

So whether you watch last year’s stories via YouTube or if you sit in the audience for either of this year’s shows, just make sure that mothers get listened to!
