**CONTEST CLOSED. CONGRATULATIONS TO ELAISHA T.! **
My technological tendencies frustrate my husband Jamie to no end. I constantly view videos vertically instead of horizontally on my iPhone. I’d rather watch movies on the small TV in our bedroom versus his 84-inch HDTV in the basement. And I buy cheap headphones from (wait for it) the dollar store or Big Lots.
I’ll probably keep doing the first two but my life has been forever changed after experiencing Beats By Dr. Dre Wireless On Ear Headphone from Staples. I had originally intended to give them to my husband this Christmas but I may just keep them for myself (sorry, Honey). These are a few of my favorite things:
Sound. My first thought when I put them on was “whoa, listen to that bass!” Music sounds crisper, cleaner and richer with very low distortion at high volume…it’s like I’m sitting in a DJ booth spinning tunes! Watching movies from my computer with the headphones has never been better. Wireless options for headsets have come a long way. They used to have unreliable connections and a serious drop in audio quality compared to their wired counterparts. Nowadays, wireless earphones have dramatically improved in all areas and are easier to pair with devices.
Wireless. Remember the yesteryear of being unable to roam because your phone was attached to a cord? I’ve never tried wireless headphones and was loving the latest advances in Bluetooth connectivity that let me wander while still streaming audio from my tablet, smartphone and computer. Untethered is the way to go!
Rechargeable. I don’t want to know how much money my family wastes on batteries in a year. After a one-hour charge, Dr. Dre’s Wireless Headphone’s battery lasts up to 100 hours of standby time and 10 hours of music playback.
Comfort. I have freakishly small ears (TMI?) so ear buds have never worked for me. These over-the-ear headphones are super plush and covered with ultra-soft breathable materials .
Convenience. The built-in mic and control buttons sit on the earcup for hands-free mobile calling, music control, and volume.
