Listen to your mother! The show comes to Colorado

How are you planning to celebrate yourself around Mother’s Day?
Here’s an idea: attend one of the first-ever Colorado shows — in Denver and in Boulder — for the nationwide phenomenon, Listen To Your Mother performance. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll nod your head in solemn knowing or solidarity. You’re bound to recognize yourself in the stories told.
Listen To Your Mother: Giving Mother’s Day A Microphone
Zakary Watson, local blogger and Denver show director, is pleased to announce that Listen To Your Mother Show, LLC (LTYM) will debut in the Denver and Boulder areas in 2013. This Mother’s Day series of live readings will be held in 24 cities this year. Zakary has blogged at RaisingColorado.com for the past five years and is currently employed as a Producer for BlogHer Publishing Network.
LTYM features live readings by local writers in celebration of Mother’s Day. Born of the creative work of mothers who publish online, each production is directed, produced, and performed by local communities, for local communities, with 10% of ticket proceeds benefiting a local non-profit cause. Beginning with one show in Madison, Wisconsin in 2010, five different cities hosted LTYM shows in 2011, then 10 in 2012, and a national Mother’s Day movement was born.
