Giveaway: Win a FREE Cheerleader Camp and Multi-Sport Scholarship from Gold Crown!

Believe it or not, Spring Break is right around the corner and Mile High Mamas is partnering with Gold Crown Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)3 public charity founded in 1986 by former NBA great Bill Hanzlik and Colorado business leader Ray Baker.

The prize? We are giving away scholarships to two camps: 1 free entry to Cheerleader Camp ($125 value) and 1 free entry to Multi-Sport Camp ($115 value).  The details:

Multi-Sport Camp–March 25-28th 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Gold Crown Field House –   Introductory-level camp for boys and girls 1st-5th grade looking to learn basic skills about a variety of sports!  The primary focus of the camp is to give children a positive first step into athletics.  The basics of Basketball, Volleyball, Golf, and Lacrosse will be taught in a well-structured atmosphere with lots of encouragement, games, and contests.  Camp is a great way to stay active, while meeting new friends, and learning new sports and will allow each participant an opportunity to learn basic skills in the four sports Gold Crown offers.  Participants will earn skills in each sport as well as participate in games and contests that build on the skills they are learning throughout the week of camp.

Cheer & Pom Camp – March 18-April 4th Mondays and Wednesdays 6-7:30 p.m. at Gold Crown Field House – Girls ages 6-12 are invited to participate in the Gold Crown Cheer and Pom Spring Camp. No auditions are required and all dance levels are encouraged to participate. Camp consists of dance clinics, a dress rehearsal for friends and family at the Gold Crown Field House and a pre-game performance at the Denver Nuggets home game at Pepsi Center on April 4th!  Participants will arrive early to the Pepsi Center and perform during the Nuggets pre-game on the main court at Pepsi Center. Details will be announced during the practices before the rehearsal.  Registration fee is $125 per camper which includes:  Dance Clinics led by professional dancer and 2012 Broncos Cheerleader Katie Wafer.  Guest appearances by current Denver Nuggets dancers.  A ticket to the Denver Nuggets game on April 4th.  Uniform top & poms for the dress rehearsal and final performance.   Additional discounted Nuggets tickets will be available to family.

The organization operates with a mission to provide opportunities and “Educate Youth and Community Through Sports and Enrichment Programs”. Gold Crown Foundation provides more than 35,000 opportunities for girls and boys through the sports and enrichment program/facility offerings. Participants from the Denver metro area, Colorado front-range, and Rocky Mountain region will participate in Gold Crown enrichment, basketball, volleyball, lacrosse and golf programs as well as baseball through Coca-Cola All-Star Park. The Gold Crown Foundation owns and operates Coca-Cola All-Star Park in Lakewood, Colorado – a premier youth baseball field modeled after historic Coors Field that was constructed in 1998 in conjunction with the Colorado Rockies Baseball Club. In October of 2003, the Foundation proudly opened the Gold Crown Field House. This 56,000 square-foot indoor facility, which houses many of Gold Crown’s indoor programs, allows us to greatly expand our enrichment programming and serve the community further.
