Get Spooked: Win VIP Tickets to Denver’s Scariest Haunted Houses

**CONTEST CLOSED. CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR WINNERS!**

If you love ultra-scary haunted houses, you’re going to love this contest!

Mile High Mamas is giving away tickets to The 13th Floor and The Asylum, two of Denver’s scariest haunted houses. Both locations start scaring September 28 through November 3, 2012 and are more appropriate for older (teen-age) kids and adults. More about these haunted houses:

The 13th Floor
Have you ever wondered…Where is The 13th Floor and why is it absent in most buildings? Find out at the 13th Floor haunted house, where nearly 100 actors will bring the legend of the often omitted floor to life with brand-new icon character masks designed by Getscared.com’s own FX team. This year, the 13th Floor will be featured in an episode of the popular Travel Channel TV series, “Making Monsters.” Through a collaboration with local animatronics company, Distortions Unlimited the 13th Floor will feature two new state-of-the-art monsters this year which bring cutting edge computer technology to a haunted house environment for the first time.

Additional new highlights include: a large Yeti area featuring a custom built 12-foot Yeti animation and a giant glacier-like snow cave filled with illusions; three new high-tech, multi-motion, larger-than-life, animatronics monsters that will redefine the word scared; and a “Temple of Doom” area featuring a rock cave crawling with fossils and dinosaurs. Ticket prices start at $22. Go here for details and times.

The Asylum
The inmates have taken over and things have gotten out of control at The Asylum. One of the largest and most sought after haunted attractions in town, The Asylum is set in Gordon Cottingham’s Hospital for the Mentally Insane, a damp and musty place infested with spiders, rats, snakes and the endless screams of tortured souls.

The terror at this haunted house with a reputation as one of Denver’s scariest haunts since 2002 depicts the actual history of real insane asylums in the 1800s with the nightmare of typical practices like electroconvulsive shock therapy, straitjackets, branding patients’ heads with a red hot iron (which was supposed to bring them to their senses); and of course, lobotomies. Scare seekers will get double the horror for one ticket price at The Asylum again this year with Zombieland. Making its über popular debut in 2011, the concept of this attraction is an abandoned city where all humans have gone and only zombies remain. Ticket prices start at $20.Go here for details and times.

Tickets can be purchased online at getscared.com or at the door. To get the most horror for your buck, buy tickets online to both the Asylum and 13th Floor. Prices start at $35 for this screaming deal.

Contest
Mile High Mamas is giving away four sets of family four-packs of the VIP Fast Combo Pass for The 13th Floor AND Asylum. These are VIP passes so winners will have easy entrance to the houses and will bypass the long line (price value: $50 per ticket). Please go here to enter. Contest deadline is October 14, 2012. Please note: These haunted houses are not recommended for children under age 13.
