The Lion King 3D in Theatres & DVD (plus ideas to throw your Family Pride Party!)

To say I like the Lion King is a bit of an understatement: It is my favorite all-time Disney movie.

Unfortunately, my only copy of the movie bit the dust years ago (along with my VCR) so my kids have never seen it. That’s why I was thrilled to learn The Lion King 3D will be released in Denver theaters September 16 and will be available on 3D Blu-ray & Blu-ray Hi-Def on October 4th.

In honor of the release, Disney sent me some simple and fun craft ideas for my very own Family Pride Party.

We made Zazu’s Kazoo.

We rocked out with Rafiki’s Water Xylophone.

Learned how to draw Timon and Pumbaa.

These are just a few of the many fun and free activities you can do at home. To learn how to do these and more including how to make Safari Sounds Instruments and Timon & Pumbaas’ delicious Bug Buffet, go here.

Be sure to check your local listings for The Lion King movie times.

Hakuna Matata!

Are you excited for the 3-D release of the Lion King or 3D Blu-ray & Blu-ray Hi-Def? What is your favorite scene?
