Thank you for throwing dirt!

I attended my first Sox tee ball game this month and now have been to three.
I have to say, I have never laughed so hard.
The Sox’s second baseman is none other than my boyfriend’s 5-year-old nephew and when he is actually paying attention to the game he is pretty darn good.
The rest of the time the kids on the team are lying on the field or throwing dirt at one another, neither of which pertain to the game of baseball but for me, this is the best part.
One of the kids on Jack’s team didn’t feel like running from base to base (I don’t blame him) so, his mom actually went on the field and ran with him to get him to come “home.”
There is a little girl on the team who decided she is just going to walk from base to base. Her mother about had a heart attack then yelled at her until she ran.
My favorite kid on the team is William. He is so tiny but this little 5-year old is a self-proclaimed ladies man. And is probably the only one on the team that can get the girls to run, away from him that is.
Then there is the kid who, instead of watching the hitter, tries to pick up each base he is stationed at. This is hilarious because they are attached so he just pulls and pulls until his coach yells at him to run the next base.
I have to admit, the crazy world of tee ball is one of the best 45 minutes of the week. I can escape every stress of my life and just sit back, relax, watch these kids throw dirt and be happy that I am not out on that field.
