Partying Nintendo Style and a Wii and Wii Fit Giveaway Announcement!

posted by:

‘Twas a few weeks before Christmas, when all through my place,

Several creatures were stirring as they didst race.

Nintendo had come and a Wii Fit Party they did throw,

For 10 of my friends…for what they did not know.

They thought it was to eat and to laugh and to play.

As Wii Fit rudely divulged we were “unbalanced” that day.

Wii Fit’s elves brought not only games but goodies galore
With smoothies, chicken skewers and healthy snacks…but there was more.

For my friends, in fearing a healthy evening without treats
Brought cookies, brownies and pumpkin pie to eat.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of ski jumping and hoola hoops danced in our heads.

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But four tiny Wii Fit elves, grinning ear-to-ear.

I said, “Now, Sylvia! Now, Bonnie! Now, Julia and Kat!
This Eve has been perfect. You just can’t top that.”

But top it they did as they unloaded their haul:[photopress:wiifitladies.jpg,full,pp_image]

Yoga outfits and mats and a Wii Fit for all.

There was hugging and there was much screaming galore,

I was heralded as Oprah and was thanked for their score.

My eyes — how they twinkled! My dimples were deep!

As promises of lunches and free babysitting I didst reap.

I laughed to myself because I knew the giving was not done
For my Mile High Mamas were certainly deserving of such fun.

And so I announce it here, now and this day:
Within seven nights, we will hold a Wii and Wii Fit giveaway!

Rest assured, this is true and it is not a trick
I may not be Oprah but you can call me Saint Nick.

“I’m dreaaammiiing of a Wii Christmas…..because my big butts such a foe.

May my muscles get toned and sexxxyyyy…..and may all my Christmases be Wii.”

I’ll be entering this contest. And possibly writing more lame lyrics to old Christmas songs.

Tis the season when it’s okay to be fat and jolly…..yeah, but come January 1st I am REALLY gonna need that Wii Fit!

Seriously, your friends must LOVE you!

I would love a Wii Fit! It would be so much fun! Did you know they have a game that is similar to Wii fit but it’s for outdoor games… snowboarding, river rafting… I can’t remember the rest. Anyway, it comes with a mat rather than the Wii Fit board 🙂

  • comment avatar Amber Johnson December 8, 2008

Outdoor games? Now, THAT would be a blast!

  • comment avatar Lauri December 8, 2008

What a fun night! Did they miss the fudge though?

  • comment avatar cheryl December 8, 2008

What an awesome party! And a fabulous idea; perhaps I should look into something healthy…or I could win the contest. Hey! When you hold it, could out-of-staters win it? Please, please, please?

Anyone in the United States is eligible. I feel sad to disciminate against my Canucks but no one outside of the lower 48 is eligible. Nintento’s rules, not mine. 🙁

Why did we have to leave Colorado!! This is honestly the coolest party I have ever heard of and you are amazing for giving those away!! That is awesome!

  • comment avatar Amber Johnson December 8, 2008

It was sooo tough to keep the giveaway a secret. I knew some of my friends would be buying one on Black Friday so I told them to hold off and that we would have a “killer deal.” No one suspected a thing. 🙂

As one of the party participants, i had a blast. Wii ate, Wii balanced, Wii laughed and best of all Wii won. Being Ambers friend definitely has benefits. I was mostly impressed that as much as Amber has too say that she was able to keep the surprise a secret. Muchas Gracias.

That is the nicest thing I’ve even seen. We are getting a Wii for Christmas, and I would love to win a Wii Fit, as I am pre-diabetic and need help with the after Christmas poundage. You truly are an angel.

  • comment avatar Amber Johnson December 8, 2008

I can’t say I’ve ever been invited to a botox party, nor would I attend. But it would at least be nice for the invite. 🙂

    I baby sat many a kid….
to save up many a quid….
    to buy a wii quick,
which will be delivered by St. Nick.

Now I have a wee one on the way…..
    I must say….
    I would love a wii fit….
so I will not only sit….
I must melt my pounds away!

I’ve become so lazy in what, out of nowhere, has become that dreaded word middle age. And I don’t do enough with my 10 y/o son, who would play PS2 all day everyday if he could. I should get us a Wii so we could do more together and I could feel less guilty. What would be even better yet would be to win one. So thanks for the rush of a chance to do so. Cheers to all.
