Kid-Friendly Sweet Life Nail Bar & Lounge Mani/Pedi Giveaway for Mom!

Congratulations to Heather Craven, winner of our U*Neaks customizable footwear giveaway![photopress:sweetlife.jpg,full,pp_image]Someone has finally figured it out: moms like to be pampered.
But with little rugrats in tow, we do not often get the luxury. That’s why I am a huge fan of Sweet Life Nail Bar & Lounge in Stapleton. I was at Mile High Mamas’ inaugural Mama’s Night Out when I first heard of this salon that has a children’s play area. Yes, my mom friends: you can have your cake and eat it, too.
Or more like red, white and sparkling wines, mimosas or sparkling water, which is what they serve by the glass.
More elegant than the traditional nail salon, but not nearly as expensive as the typical spa, Sweet Life Nail Bar & Lounge is 2,000-square feet of beautifully designed space that is the perfect place for an individual service or group event, such as a wedding or baby shower. And did I mention the children’s play area that includes movies and enough toys to keep my 2-year-old son entertained during my hour-long pamper session? Suffice it to say, a return visit is certainly on my Christmas wish list.
The salon carries 200+ colors of nail polish by Zoya, a long lasting and non-toxic product which is especially appealing to pregnant women and the health conscious. A variety of nail services, facials and body waxing is available.
[photopress:sweetlifeplay.jpg,full,pp_image] Owners Diane Bilello and Anna Hughes had a specific vision in mind. “What we noticed about a lot of manicure places was the harried atmosphere, the fluorescent lighting, the strong smell of ammonia and chemicals,” says Bilello. “We wanted to create something entirely different. Not only do we offer non-toxic, natural products, but we’ve created a beautiful and comfortable setting that invites relaxation and camaraderie,” says Hughes.
Sweet Life carries the following products: Trollbeads, a unique jewelry line; local artisan jewelry; Sanitas Skincare, a Boulder-based product line used for facials; and natural soaps, lotions and essential oils. All are available for purchase, as is the Zoya nail polish collection.
Don’t live anywhere near Stapleton? Me neither. But my little guy and I made a morning of it. He played to his heart’s content at Sweet Life and we then went next door to Perk and Play, a coffee shop that, with its abundance of toys, has become a local hub for moms and their children. We ended our day at Central Park, Stapleton’s million-dollar modern playground that has spongy purple mounds for toddlers and bouldering rocks for teens and adults.
We are thrilled to offer one lucky mama a gift certificate for a manicure and pedicure at Sweet Life Nail Bar & Lounge! To enter, simply email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with “The Sweet Life” in the subject line. Please include your mailing address. Contest deadline is November 22, 2008.
