Henry, who just moved from the city to the country, is having a hard time finding a playmate in his new neighborhood. But he has Mudge, a 182-pound canine buddy, with whom he can share all kinds of adventures!
Moving from the city to a new house in the country can be tough. Just ask Henry. He misses Annie, his cousin and best friend, and can’t find a playmate in his new neighborhood. Luckily Mom and Dad buy him a great, big, slobbery dog – Mudge – with whom he can share all kinds of adventures. It looks like Henry and Mudge will be best friends forever, until Annie arrives for a visit. Will Annie come between a boy and his dog? Can a kid have two best friends? Don’t miss this TheatreworksUSA’s musical based on the best-selling children’s books about a boy and his great big canine buddy.
Will the two friends be reunited? Find out in this Theatreworks musical, based on the best-selling series of books by Cynthia Rylant.
Dressed in typical 1860s attire, “Susannah and Jackson” tell stories of crossing the plains, interspersed with some of the best loved pioneer songs accompanied by guitar, banjo, fiddle, dulcimer, mandolin, harmonica, and autoharp. Hear about early Colorado pioneer women: Clara Brown, Chipeta Silverheels, Rattlesnake Kate, and Matilda Godfrey. Tales include Native Americans, miners, cowboys, and ranchers. Look forward to lots of audience participation and an appearance by the Lumberjack family.
