It’s an event that promises fun for the whole family! There’s a little bit of everything from horse rides to face painting to horse painting to live entertainment to a craft fair! We’ll also be doing therapeutic riding demonstrations so you can see some of our clients in action. There’ll be great food, beer, wine, cider, and soft drinks. It’s all included in the price of your ticket! It’s $30 for an individual or $80 for a family (tickets at the door $10 more). Delightfully-imaginative and visually-stunning, Cirque du Soleil’s production LUZIA is a waking dream of Mexico. Families are invited to a redesigned white-and-gold Big Top in Pepsi Center’s Parking Lot (Prius West Lot) from June 1 – July 9, 2017, to escape to an imaginary Mexico – a sumptuous world suspended somewhere between dreams and reality.
Through a series of grand visual surprises and breathtaking acrobatic performances, LUZIA takes audiences on a surrealistic journey filled with wonders, playfulness and striking artistry. Smoothly passing from an old movie set to the ocean to a smoky dance hall or an arid desert, LUZIA cleverly brings to the stage multiple places, faces and sounds of Mexico taken from both tradition and modernity. Rich in awe-inspiring moments, LUZIA enchants by incorporating rain into acrobatic and artistic scenes – a first for a Cirque du Soleil touring production.

Odysseus learns the hard way that one shouldn’t anger Poseidon. Ten years after the fall of Troy, our hero is still unable to make it home where, unbeknownst to him, his wife is being courted by 108 suitors! Set sail up the trail with us and encounter gods and goddesses, a cyclops, a whirlpool, a sea-witch, and more in this humorous adaptation of the Greek classic that would please even Zeus himself.
Audience and actors meet at the Chautauqua Picnic Shelter and take a moderate hike on the Enchanted Mesa Trail while scenes from the play are performed along the way. Approximate length of the hike is two miles with an elevation gain of 400 feet.
Audience members are encouraged to bring camping chairs and/or blankets and mats to sit on while watching the scenes. Water, sunscreen and hats are suggested and comfortable walking shoes and weather appropriate clothing are strongly encouraged. In case of inclement weather, the performance will be held under the Picnic Shelter.
Buy early! Each hike is capped at low numbers and tends to sell out in advance. Recommended for all ages.
