What do you call a household with two sets of twins under the age of five? Twinfinite Chaos, of course. Join us for our interview with our Mama Blogger of the Month who is a sleep-walking mama of five!
Tell us about your “Twinfinite Chaos” clan.
Well, we’re a family of seven, which is just crazy to me. Even though they’re all mine, I still find it hard to believe there are five kids under this roof! My oldest, Kayley, is 13. We have boy/girl twins, Pablo and Mallory, who will turn 5 next month. We also have fraternal girl twins, Lexi and Nikki, who are 3 1/2. My husband Paul is a civil engineer and I’m a stay-at-home mommy.
How do you best handle all the chaos?
The key to keeping a lid on the chaos, at least in our house, is having a specific routine and schedule in place. We literally have a laminated schedule on the kitchen wall Read on …
I love ice cream. Doesn’t matter if it’s ninety degrees out or nine - I’m always in the mood for ice cream.
I’m guessing that my love of ice cream is inherited. My father, who’s not big on sweets, loves ice cream too. Growing up, we always had ice cream in the freezer. He’d scoop it into cake cones for us to eat on the patio in the summer, or into dishes for us to eat at the table before bed - as long as we didn’t clang the spoon endlessly against the bottom of the dish, trying to scrape up the last few drips.
My love for ice cream was well-known among my friends - and my friends’ mothers. When my friend Jamie’s mother made out her grocery list, she asked Jamie what MY favorite ice cream flavor was.
When my parents told me to get a job the summer before I started college, I headed straight for Friendly’s and got a job scooping ice cream. Read on …

Blayden: Steve or Joe?
Emmayden: Joe! Mr. Noodle or Mr. Noodle’s brother, Mr. Noodle?
Poppy: Totally Mr. Noodle. Did you hear Mr. Noodle died when his head exploded after eating too many pieces of popcorn chicken? It’s too bad they had to stop making them.
Joel: Yeah. When I was like four-years-old that was all I ate.
Cecilia: Me too!
Joel: I think my mom probably wrote about it on her blog. Like everything else.
Hannah-Savannah: Tell me about it. My mom had like five blogs.
Joel: My mom had one, then three, then one again, then two. I bet there are still blogs out there she has hasn’t updated in fifteen years.
Savannah-Montana: Did she have a digital camera? Read on …

Every month, Mile High Mamas features a different mom on our blogroll (Colorado’s most comprehensive listing of mommy bloggers). Our Mama Blogger of the Month is the lovely Liz from What Happens in Stapleton Stays in Stapleton. Through her fun, informative blog, she has also created an important resource for her community and we encourage other mamas to do the same!
Tell us about your family and how you ended up in Stapleton.
I’m a stay-at-home mom to a 2 year old, Jack, and a black lab, Maggie. (If you have a kid under 5 and either a black lab or a golden retriever, Stapleton is the neighborhood for you). We lived in a loft downtown when my son was born, and after a few months realized loft living and babies weren’t the best match. My husband was ready to move to a big house in the suburbs, but I was resistant. Stapleton seemed like the perfect compromise. Read on …
Meet Jamie of Horoscopically Blonde, our Mama Blogger of the Month! Jamie is a side-splittingly funny gal who is the blog diva of YourHub.com. Join us for our hilarious interview with this verbose mama!
First things first: why are you Horoscopically Blonde and not just dumb like the rest of us?
I’m the only person I know who parks in front of my house, catches a glimpse of my vehicle from the corner of my eye (probably while I’m looking at something shiny), and then says, “Oh! I wonder who’s here?” followed by—and more importantly, “Darn it! They’re blocking my mailbox.”
Tell us about the Horoscopically Blonde family. Are there any fake (blondes) in the mix?
The Horoscopically Blonde family consists of four children, an adorable husband, a cat that strategically vomits on my things, and an insane, evil dog that barks at the big, red yoga ball while breaking wind. Only the dog is blonde. Read on …
Each month, Mile High Mamas will feature a different mama blogger from our blogroll (our listing of Colorado’s hottest mom blogs). We have chosen hilarious Sarah from Imaginary Binky for our first spotlight. Not only is she juggling a baby and a comedian husband but she also set the insane goal to blog every single day in 2008. Let’s check in to see how she is doing….

1) Where on earth did you come up with the blog name “Imaginary Binky?”
My son Amos is a great sleeper. I’m jealous of how well that boy can sleep. When he’s slumbering, off and on his mouth will move as if he is sucking on an imaginary nipple or binky, which I suppose is a comforting thing for him. I look at my writing and my blog as a comforting thing for me, so Imaginary Binky is my own pacifier to calm the savage beast. I liked the name so much that I came up with the tag line: “Imaginary Binky – Suck on This.” It’s sassy and saucy, just the way I like it. Read on …
Mile High Mamas was featured on 850 KOA this morning (click here to listen). The illustrious Robbyn Hart does a special segment called “Your Kids” on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:20 and 8:20 a.m. She covers everything from nifty tech toys to dealing with night terrors. Oh, and cool online mama communities, of course.
When I informed my husband Jamie that Robbyn Hart wanted to interview me, he was ecstatic. He has listened to her news reports for years and started rattling off all her factoids:
“Did you know she played college basketball? That she had twins Read on …
