Boulder Chorale Welcomes Uvalde, TX High School Mariachi Band

On April 23-28, 2024, Boulder Chorale welcomes Uvalde, Texas’s prize-winning high school Mariachi band, and will host an exciting series of performances and workshops along the Front Range. CSU Spur offers free activites & events for kids!

If you’re looking for fun, free activities in Denver for the whole family, look no further than 2nd Saturdays at CSU Spur. Denver Children’s Theatre Presents “Tomás and the Library Lady”

The Mizel Arts and Culture Center’s Denver Children’s Theatre announces its upcoming performances of “Tomás and the Library Lady,” based on the beloved book by Pat Mora, and adapted by José Cruz González. The production tells the inspiring true story of Tomás Rivera, the son of migrant farm workers, who discovers the transformative power of books through the guidance of a kind librarian. The play is a bilingual story with a fully Hispanic/Latin(x) cast, including the play’s Director, Matthew Zambrano. I was always surprised to see how often the kids and I went to free days at one of the area SCFD (Scientific Cultural Facilities District) venues. Laissez les Bon Temps Roulez by creating a festive shoebox float! Enjoy a Mile High Mardi Gras celebration at Dairy Block, which is hosting the 6th annual Dairy Block Petite Parade on Sunday, Feb. 18th from  noon – 2 p.m.  Attendees are invited to “laissez les bons temps rouler” by building a creative float starting with a shoebox base. Each float must be no larger than 2 feet long by 2 feet wide and shorter than 3 feet tall. It also must be able to be pulled on wheels.
