Deals: Getaway 5K-10K Discount, Carnation Festival, Free Day

Water World IS summer in Denver. As a kid, my grandmother would drop my sister, cousins and myself off at the gates of the water park (which was not nearly as big as it is now) for a day in the sun. We were so excited to have the freedom to do something on our own. No matter how sophisticated our kids get with their cell phones and other entertainment, Water World on your own is still a rite of passage. I dropped my kids off at the gates of Water World for their day roaming on their own. Several hours later when I picked them up – they were smiles from ear-to-ear as they excitedly talked about all the fun rides. They talked about the roller coaster, Pirate’s Plunge, Lost River of the Pharaohs, and of course the wave pool.
