Thank you to all of you who voted for me on the voice over talent contest. Apparently, I lost the popular vote (I came in 4th) but this became a lesson for me. The semiannual Mothers of Multiples Society (MOMS) Sale is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Hundreds of families have donated gently used toys, clothes, furniture, books, high chairs, strollers and more. Savings are 50 to 90 percent off retail prices. Admission is $1. A portion of the proceeds are used for MOMS Community Outreach programs. Shoppers are encouraged to bring a bag or tote to carry their items. MOMS has also partnered with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department to offer a free car seat safety clinic. Friendship-shop day
IKEA hosts its second annual BYOF Day on Saturday. The purpose of Bring Your Own Friends is for IKEA to thank its customers (and their friends) with in-store activities, food, seminars, giveaways and more. It’s part of the IKEA Life Improvement Project, a national program designed to offer inspiration and suggestions. Visit the website and RSVP through Facebook. Flower power
Tagawa Gardens is the place to get a fast flower fix. The Denver Orchid Society Spring Show & Sale is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
