What is the (Ski) Deal?

What is the (Ski) Deal?

Many people believe that skiing is an expensive sport. And while it CAN be for sure, there are plenty of deals to save as much as you can on skiing/snowboarding and the equipment necessary. One of the best ways to save money all seaons long is  to purchase a season pass but, time is running out… after Thanksgiving, some resorts will stop selling season passes and you will have to find other deals/coupons etc.

Ski and Trade

Colorado Ski & Golf Stores (including Colorado Ski & Sports at Park Meadows and Boulder Ski Deals) offer the Junior Trade In Program – which allows you to rent equipment for your kids for the entire season at one low price and keep them all season long (unless the kids grow out of them in which place, Colorado Ski & Golf will replace with the right size). Even better… you get 1/2 the money back when you return the equipment!

Magical 5th AND 6th Grade!

Time is running out to get your 5th and 6th grader the most amazing pass! Hopefully it is no longer a SECRET but if you have a fifth or sixth grader, Vail Resorts (Vail, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek, Keystone & Arapahoe Basin) offers the School of Shred program that allows all 5th (and 6th) graders the opportunity to ski/board for FREE and Colorado Ski Country (basically all the other resorts in Colorado) offers free 5th Grade Passport and $99 6th Grade Passport.

Crested Butte and Telluride

Crested Butte and Telluride have partnered to bring you the T-CB Ultimate 6 Pass – good for three days at each resort. It  is available for $399 at Liftopia.com and through each resorts’ websites. The price point is extremely attractive, as it equates to $66.50 per day; an approximate 30% discount off window tickets prices. Once the first 3 visits have been used at each resort, additional days may be added on at a 20% discount off the single-day window rate throughout the rest of the season.

Crested Butte also offers free skiing for all on Opening Day of the 2012-2013 winter season (SERIOUSLY – FREE SKIING NO STRINGS ATTACHED). Opening day is November 21, 2012. If you want to stay longer and still get free skiing, book the Ski Free with Lodging package with Crested Butte Vacations www.skicb.com or call 800-600-2803. Stay one night and receive a free day of skiing for each person on the reservation. Available November 21 – December 19, 2012.

Mountain Collective Pass

Alta, Aspen/Snowmass, Jackson Hole and Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows have partnered to offer the Mountain Collective Pass. For $349, The pass includes two free days at each of the four destinations, plus a 50% discount on unlimited lift tickets at each of the destinations, once the complimentary days are used. In addition, pass-holders will receive exclusive lodging deals throughout the season. The Mountain Collective™ Pass will be available for children (ages 12 and under) for $229.

Colorado Gems

The $10 Gems Card offers discounts including: A free lift ticket at Monarch Mountain;  Two-for-one lift tickets at three different ski areas; Savings on lift tickets at all eight Gems ski areas.  Gems resorts are: Arapahoe Basin, Eldora Mountain Resort, Loveland Ski Area, Monarch Mountain, Powderhorn Resort, Ski Cooper, Ski Granby Ranch, and Sunlight Mountain Resort.

“E” book

The “E” book (available at King Soopers) offers great discounts on lift tickets including a FREE child lift ticket with the purchase of an adult at Loveland and a FREE Junior Lift ticket with a paid adult at Ski Granby Ranch. There are lots of other great deals in the book with discounts on gear and lodging as well.

Copper Mountain Four-Pack

Our legendary Four Pack guarantees Four days of skiing & riding at Copper Mountain, no blackout dates, Four Friends & Family lift-tickets from $59 each, AND passholder deals & discounts all season long, because more deals are always awesome. Prices go up $10 on Nov. 13th.
