Denver Deal: Kids Ski & Snowboard Event, Front Range Ski Bus and More

It makes me feel old when I say things like, time is really flying by. But really, we are already somehow just a couple weeks from my favorite Deals day of the year – Black Friday! My daughter, who is a 6th grader this year emailed me her Christmas wish list. She had not only delivered a well-written letter, but she had also cut and pasted photos and made hyper-links to the shopping page where she found each of the items. I am hoping that some of these items will make it to some store’s Black Friday sale.

This year, I’m actually PLANNING to join the mayhem – with my sister who is a pro and has been “doing the sale.” She will look at the newspaper circulars – and I will check out their websites. She promises me that I will get some great deals and it will be worth my lack of sleep. I only hope for her sake that it includes a cup of coffee!

Kids Ski & Snowboard Event. For families that missed Ski Rex AND last weekend’s Colorado Ski Expo, there is one last chance to latch on to some family fun and great deals on ski and snowboard gear for kids. Save 30-50 percent on kids’ ski and snowboard gear and apparel on November 10 and 11 at all five Colorado Ski & Golf’s locations (Aurora, Arvada, Littleton, Colorado Springs and Park Meadows). http://www.coloradoskiandgolf.com/

Hallmark Open House

Hallmark will  have an Open House this weekend (Nov. 9-11).  You can get the best deals on the newest and coolest gifts (if anyone is buying for me I looooove Hoops & Yo Yo) – storybooks, plushes, ornaments and more.

Thank a Veteran

Card Gnome is hosting a party in celebration of Veteran’s Day (the holiday is Sunday) on Monday, November 12 from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Common Grounds Coffee located in downtown Denver at 1550 17th St., Suite 110 on the corner of 17th and Wazee. The Holiday Mail for Heroes card signing party is open to the public, all ages, to participate by creating and writing personalized greeting cards that will be mailed to veterans and members from all branches of the U.S. military. If you can’t attend the party you can still send a card to a hero from the website.

Pre-Christmas Colorado-based Kids Shopping Party

Several popular Colorado-based kids & moms brands- including Ambajam, Rumparooz, Bamboobies, Stonwear Designs, Studio Bini, NEST, Suuthe, and JP Lizzy- will be offering incredible deals & discounts at this one-day only event, hosted at Ambajam’s HQ (3457 Ringsby Court Taxi 2, Suite 107 Denver, CO 80216) on November 10 from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. It is a free event & anyone can attend. Click here for more info.

SkiDeals

SNOW! SNOW! SNOW! Keystone is open now. Breckenridge opens this weekend…Front Range Ski Bus is offering a Free Ride! Yup. On Saturday, December 15 Front Range Ski Bus will go to four locations – ABasin, Copper Mountain, Keystone & Loveland. You can ride for free. Enter the promo code “FreeBus” when you make your reservation on Dec. 10. (The catch.  Since seats are limited and they want the reservations made by people who are serious about trying out the ski bus from Denver we are charging $5 per person to make a reservation.  Then when you are on the bus, you will receive a crisp $5 bill!  Sound good?)

Larkburger Movember

Larkburger is participating in “Movember”, raising funds for men’s health issues. Diners can join the “Larkburger Mo Bros and Mo Sistas” team. When they do they will receive a Burger on Us card, free stickers and are entered into weekly raffles for gift cards. The team member who raises the most will win Larkburger for a Year (a lot of burgers and fries). Plus, they’re holding “Milk(shake) Mustache” on Saturday, November 17, offering $2 Boulder Ice Cream shakes all day. Best ‘stache wins a gift card.
