Denver Deal: Buy.com, Chipotle Cultivate Festival, and Cider Days

I used to not think much about October, but Halloween has become quite a deal at our house – and reportedly one of the top holidays for spending. Not only do we start talking about what we will be for Halloween early in the month, but also what we will give away, what party or pumpkin patch we will visit (thank goodness my kids haven’t started talking about Haunted Houses – I’m just not a fan). All of this means a lot of money (which I don’t have) so I look for DEALS!!!  This year I found a great place to get our costumes that are pretty inexpensive and super cute – Buy.com. But even better- we have worked with Buy.com to award one winner $50 to get a costume of their own!

Chipotle Cultivate Festival

Chipotle Mexican Grill is hosting the Cultivate Festival on Saturday, October 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at City Center Park. The event features food, music and activities. The kids area will teach kids where their food comes from (not just the grocery store) and you might even learn your way to a free burrito!

Free Day at The Art Museum

Denver Art Museum is hosting a free day thanks to SCFD (Scientific Cultural and Facilities District) on October 6. It is a “Free First Saturday!” Make your plans now.

Lakewood Cider Days

From mule-drawn wagon and barrel train rides to the petting zoo, kids and adults alike will enjoy this event complete with exhibitors, live entertainment and food. Guests will find interactive activities, educational exhibits, historic demonstrations, arts and crafts and commercial exhibitors.
