Events: Art in the Park, Lizards & Snakes and Independence Day!
Through Sunday. “Lizards and Snakes” is in its final, slithery days at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. The exhibit displays more than 60 live animals from around the world, including geckos, Gila monsters and a giant Burmese python. Learn all about the creatures’ habitats and ways of life as you get an up-close look. Also featured are items on loan from the National Wildlife Property Repository at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal—confiscated items that illegally use the skins of some of the animals in the exhibit, including belts, iPod cases, and a pricey python jacket. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Sunday. Denver Museum of Nature and Science, 2001 Colorado Blvd.; 303-370-6000. The exhibit is included with museum admission: $13 for adults, $10 for seniors, $8 for juniors and students. dmns.org
