I don’t love going to the grocery store. I don’t really even like it. I clip coupons. I write lists. They are usually sitting on the table at home when I arrive at the store. Plus, I somehow usually forget that ONE thing that I really need. That is why I love the new Safeway4U. The awesome program that speaks between your computer and your iphone allows you to “clip coupons” that are downloaded right to your card AND write a list (using those coupons and any other things that you need at the store).

When I went with a few other bloggers to try out the program (which you need to sign up for in addition to having a card) they explained that you can double up coupons and deals as well (as long as both are not money off – but even money off, the computer will give you the best money off deal). As an added benefit, just for signing up you get a FREE dozen eggs.

Free Summer Concerts

Several cities throughout the metro area will have a host of free concerts – all summer long! Bring your chair or your blanket. Most locations encourage you to bring picnic and have fun with the whole family.

• Southlands in Aurora will host their FREE Friday concert on June 22nd featuring Tunisia from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
• Highlands Ranch will continue their summer concerts with Nacho Men on Thursday, June 21 from 6 p.m to 8 p.m. at Highland Heritage Regional Park.
• FlatIron Crossing will host Chase N the Dream for the their Thursday night concert this week June 21 from 6 p.m to 9 p.m.
• Clement Park in Littleton on Friday, June 22 • 9:30-10:15 a.m. will feature music for kids with Eric West.
• Aspen Grove in association with Alamo Drafthouse Cinema brings you a Pirates of the Caribbean (there will also be a bounce house) on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 starting at 7 p.m. screening will start at dusk. Contests, prizes and giveaways from Aspen Grove Merchants.
• Northglenn Summer Concert series starts this week on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park. Scheduled to appear: June 20 – Felonius Smith Trio.
• Celebrate Make Music Denver! Downtown this Thursday, June 21 over 90 bands will be participating. The event will end with Hazel Miller at Skyline Park (and the whole thing is FREE).
• Eve 6 Fans? The band will be in town at the Colorado Mills on Saturday, June 23 as part of the Journey’s Backyard BBQ Tour (feel free to support Journey’s by buying some shoes!)

Staples School Supplies Savings

My sister used to make our family shop during our family vacation – just for school supplies. Apparently someone at Staples is as excited about school supplies as my sister ways…saving on essential supplies this back-to-school season. Staples is launching its Back-to-School Savings Pass for 2012. Now available, customers nationwide can save 15 percent all season long. Available for purchase for $10 while supplies last, the BTS Savings Pass is valid until Sept. 15 for use once a day on supplies such as pens, pencils, paper notebooks and backpacks.
