Denver Deal: CardGnome, Summer Concerts, AMF Bowling, Rapids Soccer & Staples
I honestly like Father’s Day a bit better than Mother’s Day, maybe it is because I can give my dad a card, take him fishing or to a baseball game and he seems to be really happy with that. I am excited to take him to lunch this year. One of our favorite places, Bud’s, is not at all like the upscale brunch we had for Mother’s Day. But I will say, either way food is involved which makes us all happy! Happy Father’s Day to all the dads. Treat them special on their day – Sunday, June 17, 2012!
In other fun news, I will learn this week what Safeway4U is all about. I will let you all know later this week what I find out. Right now, I can tell you register online and be sure to get your coupons (which are specifically designed for what you buy most often) – when I did I scored some great deals including free eggs and sales on a lot of other things I buy regularly.
FREE Father’s Day Card
Father’s Day is coming on Sunday, June 17. CardGnome.com (a local company) is offering a free Father’s Day card. Through Wednesday at 2PM (which is the last time to send cards and have them arrive by Father’s Day) use the link to share the promo on Facebook (at the top of the Father’s Day page) to receive a free card credit.
Free Summer Concerts
Several cities throughout the metro area will have a host of free concerts – all summer long! Bring your chair or your blanket. Most locations encourage you to bring picnic and have fun with the whole family.
- Southlands in Aurora will host Kidtopia Thursday, June 14 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with kid friendly entertainment and activities and their FREE Friday concert will feature That 80s Band this Friday, June 15 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Highlands Ranch will continue their summer concerts with Swing Essence on Thursday, June 14 from 6 p.m to 8 p.m. at Highland Heritage Regional Park.
- -FlatIron Crossing will host The Champions, an 80s Band for the first of their Thursday night concert series on June 14 from 6 p.m to 9 p.m.
- Clement Park in Littleton has The Indulgers (Celtic Rock) Thursday, June 14 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Aspen Grove in association with Alamo Drafthouse Cinema brings you a Muppets Sing Along (there will also be a bounce house) on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 starting at 7 p.m. screening will start at dusk. Contests, prizes and giveaways from Aspen Grove Merchants.
- Southglenn’s Dancing in the Streets Concert Series kicks off with the Nacho Men at 6: 30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13.
Greek Festival

My sister used to make our family shop during our family vacation – just for school supplies.
