Crocs’ Cool Winter Styles for Kids (and fantastic deals!)

Crocs’ Cool Winter Styles for Kids (and fantastic deals!)

I’ve never owned a pair of Crocs.

OK, let me back up a little bit. I’ve never owned a pair of what people traditionally think of Crocs: the classic clog.

I’m not a fan of that style and I’m sure I’m not alone. But what has made Crocs a force to be reckoned with is they have continued to evolve with the marketplace. Case in point: Their new winter line.

I was sent a couple of pairs to check out and I have to tell you, there were several fun new styles but one of them is a ground-stopping, kid-magnet that my daughter is sure will catapult her second-grade popularity to a new level: The Thing.

The Thing is a furry, funky clog with animal appeal featuring a Croslite™ material footbed surrounded by a fun, shaggy vamp, or fuzz, and customizable heel strap. Available in fuschia pink or black. Wild! $39.99

Girls don’t get to have all the fun and boys will look ultra-cool in these Hover Sneak Camos. The good: they’re virtually weightless. The better: they’re made from durable canvas to withstand boy play. Available in camo print in navy/sea blue and black/black. $30.

I’m always on the lookout for good, quality running shoes and I’ll admit it: I hate tying shoes. Kids’ Dawson Sneak is a great fit because it looks good (cool suede and colors) and it has a bungee-lacing system for easy on and off. The rubber pods on the outside provide quality traction for active kids and the shoes are available in bubblegum/chocolate, black/black, espresso/khaki and graphite/navy. $44.99

I’m not a fan of the moon boot but a friend (a fellow product of the ’80s) went crazy over Crocs’ Kosmoboot Kids so I figured it was worth a mention. It features water resistant nylon upper, cord around the shaft to keep the wet and cold out, and rubber outsole pods for increased traction with some fun colors: ultraviolet/dahlia (shown), bubblegum/fuchsia, yellow/canary and black/black. $59.99.
