Denver Deal: Redbox, IKEA, Rockies promotions, and Academy of Awesome

I am a big family person and I have a cousin who is going through some difficult financial times. She asked me for a bit of help. I’m excited to offer her simply the suggestion of following my blog as I try to put together a great montage of things to do each week, most of them a little or no cost. But I often forget to mention the inexpensive things that happen in town all the time – simple things like visiting the zoo, tubing down a creek (Boulder and Clear Creek are a ton of fun), wandering down Pearl Street in Boulder, visiting the Coors Brewery in Golden, taking the “road trip” up to Ft. Collins to the Budweiser Brewery (yes, the kids can get some good fun at the brewery tours), Celestial Seasonings tour in Boulder, and perhaps the biggest one of all…a nature walk, a bike ride or a hike. We have also enjoyed family fun game days. My family has re-enacted Minute to Win It scenarios straight from the show. But still, I will tell her to follow my blog to see what is new and different each week in town.

Redbox

If you have not tried it yet, now is the time.  Redbox are those movie vending machines in King Soopers and McDonalds. Get our  your phones. When you text “DEALS” to 727272 between now and August 24 – you will receive a discount code valued between 10 cents and a dollar. When the movie is only $1 in the first place – it is a great deal!

IKEA

Have you had the chance to visit IKEA yet? There is incentive to visit between now and Labor Day. Kids meals are FREE, for kids 12 and under (one per child, per visit). Plus, when you are there sign up for IKEA Family – where you get all kinds of great discounts, deals, extra play time, free coffee and even deals with other area locations (like the Wildlife Experience).
