Denver Deal: Arena Cross, Snowshoeing and Snow Sculpture Championships!

There is really so much to do in Colorado in January that goes beyond the Stock Show (although that is GREAT fun too!)

Arena Cross

Arena Cross Bar to Bar is coming to the Colliseum, January 28-30.  Arenacross tracks are among the tightest in the world, filled with difficult challenges, amazing airtime, intense speed, and all the close-contact racing you’d expect from these hungry Supercross superstars-in-waiting.  Kids tickets are only $10 and you can save $5 for Friday’s performance with the code: MOMOPEN when you purchase your tickets through Ticketmaster.com

Snowshoe in Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain Nature Association wants to introduce you and your family to the beauty of Rocky Mountain National Park.  During upcoming Saturdays (January 22, February 5 or 19,  and March 5 or 19) attend “Winter Ecology: A Snowshoeing Trek for Families”.   The cost is only $10 for adults (anyone over age 6 – 5 & under is FREE).   Snowshoe use is FREE for anyone 13 and under.

Breckenridge Snow Sculpture Championships

The 21st Annual Snow Sculpture Championships return to Breckenridge January 25-30.  At the event, four-person teams are assigned 12-foot-tall, 20-ton blocks of snow.  Artists achieve finished pieces after a total of intense hours of work without the use of power tools, internal support structures or colorants – just the ingenuity of the sculptors and a medium that lends itself, if only temporarily, to the persuasion of hand tools.

Grab one of Breckenridge’s great deals!  Four people can stay four nights in a 2-bedroom and get four days of lift tickets included for as low as $110 per person, per night. Available through Feb. 10, 2011. Call the Breckenridge Resort Chamber at 877-864-0868 or visit GoBreck.com for more information on the 2011 Budweiser International Snow Sculpture Championships and January lodging packages in Breckenridge.
