Reminder: You have until March 4th to enter our Cutest Kid Contest and win ski tickets to Keystone Resort!

Let’s face it: a woman’s obsession with shoes is often manifested in her children. And stylish moms want to keep them looking cute as a button. For Coloradoan Jenny Chism, understanding this age-old truth brought forth more than peace of mind during her morning dressing routine with her two young daughters. It brought her into the world of entrepreneurship.

She created Monkey-Toes, a popular and playful line of accessories and animal- and insect-themed footwear for children that are available in 350 specialty boutiques and e-tailers nationwide. Monkey-Toes make the everyday activity of putting on shoes and socks more fun by introducing friends for the feet, all while providing quality footwear for children. Each pair of shoes is hand-painted by a talented female artist in Denver.

Jenny effectively balances her roles of business owner and single mother. While raising her daughters, the Aurora mama works away designing, managing the painting of herone-of-a-kind shoes, and serves as chief designer for the newly created Monkey-Toes socks.

She is a graduate of the University of Colorado where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in finance. She loves her girls, is passionate about her businesses and stays on top of her game with the help of Starbucks Soy Chai Lattes.

Monkey-Toes is pleased to offer a pair of Boogie Monsters and LUV Bug Mary Janes. To enter, simply email us at giveaways@milehighmamas.com with your mailing address and “Monkey-Toes” in the subject line. Also include your child’s shoe size. The contest deadline is Friday, March 7th.
