No one can argue that summer is just not complete without Baseball. After all, it’s as American as apple pie. “The Pickleman: Dreaming of the Majors” is a fantastic family book about Americas favorite pastime. The story is about two young brothers who play Little League Baseball, dreaming of the day…

My ExpecTees t-shirt is very cute and very comfortable! I received a medium which was very true to size and the shirt I reviewed was white and said “What happens in Vegas, doesn’t always, stay in Vegas.” My friends all think it’s such a funny shirt. I like it because it’s very comfortable. I would recommend it to all your pregnant friends. They have a lot of choices online…

As a mom of two young boys, I read Boy-sterous Living: celebrating your loud and rowdy life with sons like a prediction of my future. Jean Blackmer knows what I have to look forward to: Noise. Risk-taking (and worry). Competitiveness. Fascination with all things that EXPLODE. And trips to the ER.
But rather than a list of parenting to-dos or admonishments to keep your boys under control, Jean Blackmer’s book is nothing less than an ode to the joy of living with boys….

Personally, I think these would make great gifts for families with new babies – easy, organic meals delivered to their door or a very cool teether that can be personalized – useful and a keepsake!

Viki P reviewed meals from The Organic Dish:

I was feeling a bit uninspired and, yes lazy. I want to create clean, yummy meals but wasn’t in the mood. Lucky me, The Organic Dish laid some serious yummies on me.
Full review here.

Alexa reviewed the teether from Toofeze:

Experts recommend, among other things, a cool spoon for soothing the sore gums of teething babies. However, spoons are unmanageable for small infants who are just beginning to develop their motor skills. They’ve just added an ergonomic handle to make it easy for very small infants to manipulate…
Full review here.

MiaHysteria reviewed a children’s book dealing with Sensory Processing Disorder or SPD:

How do I fit in? How come I feel this way? What’s going to happen to me? Am I the only one? Sensitive Sam is a book written for children, from a child’s perspective, highlighting the different ways that children can experience SPD, how it affects them, their family and school relationships… Most importantly, it leaves the child reader with the feeling that they are not alone.
Full review here.

Alexa also reviewed the Cart Stopper:

The Cart-Stopper™ is a simple and effective device that reduces the risk of child injury and vehicle damage related to “run-away” shopping carts.

This week’s reviews included:

Karmiczen wrote about the latest version of the Hallmark Card Studio.

I have not bought a single greeting card in almost five years. My relatives and friends love it when I make personal cards with pictures for them. I have used Card Studio 2004 and 2006 Deluxe very successfully for several years, so I was excited to review the 2009 version.

For the full review go here

Alexa wrote about the Crib Tent II:

Our deluxe Cozy Crib Tent not only prevents climbing and falling…it keeps little limbs from getting stuck between crib rails! The safest crib tent ever! Ours not only encloses the top of the crib, it surrounds the entire interior with soft, safe netting.

Arms and legs can’t get wedged between slats, because the crib rails are shielded from top to bottom. Offers plenty of visibility, air circulation, and headroom. Keeps kitties out, too.

This is a cool product and great idea. One of my friends really loved this for her son who was crawling out of his crib all the time, but they weren’t ready to put him in a big bed, so they got him a cool “tent” for his bed. He loved it.

My daughter was so excited to put this on her bed…

For the full review go here

KPiper reviewed the kidzui website for kids:

I am guilty of bubble-wrapping my kids from the Internet.

The Internet is a teeter-totter of sheltering the kids from potential evil lurking in the vast world of the World Wide Web vs. providing freedoms necessary for skill development into the technical future that awaits.

Since protecting my kids comes first, I have been the parent who would not permit visits to a range of popular sites…so imagine my kid’s excitement when I told them they could try any game they wanted …

Both of my boys also love to read, so this was a good combination, especially during the winter season! I put in the My Magical World DVD one snowy afternoon and snuggled down with the boys to watch them watch the show

My daughter loves soft blankets and is often rubbing them on her little chubby cheeks; she loves the cute pink Lotus Bèbè Bamboo blanket. I love it because of the unique benefits bamboo provides….

Each mini-manual represents the collection of the most up-to-date information that the field of psychology, child rearing, youth development and the entire field of behavioral sciences has to offer; we then condense this knowledge into short, easy-to-read manuals for parents.

I recently had the opportunity to read the Making Friends mini-manual and found it easy to read, with practical advice for parents…

Christi R reviewed Girl Gourmet Cupcake Maker by Jakks Pacific.

Easy to use kits let kids ages 8+ (or younger with some adult help) to make cupcakes right in their microwave. It comes in 4 fun flavors: Red Velvet, Chocolate, Cinnamon Sugar and Vanilla… My nieces had a blast baking, decorating and eating the cupcakes they created and I loved the bonding time with them in the kitchen.

Kagey reviewed Warm as a Lamb Stroller Covers.

If you’re like me, you’ve bundled up the baby, draped all sorts of blankets over the front of the stroller, and hoped he wasn’t freezing. The solution is this amazing stroller cover. He stayed warm, even sleeping on the walks to the school.I didn’t even put his coat on him, because he was so protected from the wind and cold inside this thing.

Kagey reviewed Beyond-A-Peanut educational flash cards.

When my son, then 18 months old, was first diagnosed with a peanut allergy, the answer seemed simple. Pitch all the peanuts… Now that he’s four, the challenge has changed. I don’t control his environment anymore. He’s at preschool, a friends’ house, or his grandparents’ home without me on a weekly basis. Now the challenge is to educate him and his caretakers about situations where peanuts may appear…

This week’s reviews included:

Christi R reviewed the children’s book Cole Family Christmas by Liu Bryan with Hazel Cole Kendle.

If you think the true meaning of Christmas has been lost somewhere between the holiday sales and wrapping paper, this is a book you should read with your children. Cole Family Christmas not only brings back the true meaning of Christmas but it humbly reminds us simpler times, when family meant more to the holidays then pretty bows on top of Tickle Me Elmos or Rockstar Barbies.

Cole Family Christmas is based on a true story….

Casual Perfectionist reviewed the new Sesame Street DVD: Abby in Wonderland.:

Now, I knew going into this that Claire would love it. She is totally smitten with Abby Cadabby from Sesame Street. You could have shown us a video of Abby just sitting on the screen giggling and waving her magic wand, and Claire would beg to watch it over and over. I was curious to see what this movie was like, and I wasn’t disappointed!

We both loved it.

Christi R reviewed Full Bar diet bars.

Full bar is designed to help you feel full so you eat less, by eating one Full Bar with 8 oz water about a half hour before your two largest meals, typically lunch and dinner. The Full Bar is supposed to help you feel full so that you do not over eat at these two meals. Great concept!

I tried the Full Bar program and…

Alexa reviewed Born Free’s PBA-free bottles and toddler cups.

These bottles are great! My 5 month old son is a picky bottle drinker and he loved these. He latched on right away and drank it all. He doesn’t get gassy from these bottles either and I know that they are safe and not potentially dangerous. The sippy cups are awesome. No spills.

Tosha reviewed the new Baby Signing Time DVDs on how to teach your baby sign language.:

I am so excited about the Baby Sign Time program. My little girl is 11 months old and she loves the DVD. She dances to the music and laughes as she tries to do the signs. In just a couple of weeks she has started to sign stop, go, up and down.

Devon reviewed Born Free BPA-free pacifiers.

We use BornFree BPA-free bottles so I was excited to try out their new pacifiers. My son uses a pacifier mainly for sleeping (naps and bedtime). I’ll also give it to him at times during the day if he is teething. He definitely has certain pacifiers (brands and shapes) he prefers over others. He really liked this BornFree one. I noticed he liked to chew it more than the others.
