Fall is here! I’m still trying to figure out how to balance back to school and they’ve been in for a month already. Football games and soccer seasons are starting – in other words, the REAL crazyness of fall is hitting.  The kids and I had a fun on our last weekend of summer. We went to this really great event called “the Ultimate Family Gameshow” at the Comedy Works in the Tech Center. The event encourages families to play the games together with the typical game show type games. My 10-year-old and 11-year-old had fun and it didn’t directly involve video games or TV.  Dalton got to hold up the sign with our family answers as part of a “Last Family Standing” trivia game and my daughter was distraught that the host, Sam Adams did not pick our name to participate in the family-style pictionary game. The funpart was that it was geared for families with kids of all ages and the tickets are about what it would cost for us to go to the movies.

Festival Italiano

September 10 Belmar Shopping Center will celebrate The 8th Annual Festival Italiano Food & Wine Festival.  The festival will feature Italian food, wine and artisan vendors from the area who will sell ceramics, gelato, sausage, baked goods, pasta, flowers, herbs, sculpture, antique maps, produce, pizza and much more. Festivities include flag throwers from Florence, regional Italian wine tastings for adults, chef demonstrations, live Italian music and dancing, Balistreri Vineyards childrens grape stomp, a bocce ball tournament and much more.
