Denver Deal: Harry Potter, Greeley Stampede & more
I love a warm summer evening with great live music in a park. No matter where you are in town – North, South, East or West there seems to be a concert or movie outing for free. I used to irritate me when a friend of mine used to say, “I just hang out at home because I don’t have any money.” Now, I just invite him along – or send him links to this blog. There are a ton of things to do in town for little or no money! The list continues to grow each week.
When you are out and about grab one of Bruegger’s new thin bagels. You can make a sandwich with these fantastic delights! My daughter LOVES bagels but rarely finishes a whole one. When I took her (and her brother) to Bruegger’s we got the thin bagel sandwiches – she ate the WHOLE thing. They have the same great taste as a full bagel but they are thinner! I love taking them to the free concerts. So…will I see you at the Soul X concert in Aurora with your Bruegger’s in hand?

Greeley Stampede
The Greeley Stampede is back June 24 to July 4. The Coca-Cola Family Pack, includes four Rodeo tickets (June 28, 29, 30 only), four Coca-Cola soft drink vouchers, 12 carnival ride ticket vouchers and a one-day parking pass for $40. My Grandpa used to “drive” a train. I can recall as a child waiting anxiously at a certain spot in Winter Park to wave to him as he drove the massive train by. I have just been waiting for the right time to take my kids on a train ride. The Rio Grande Scenic Railroad, based in Alamosa, is offering a host of family-friendly train ride options, including an amazing deal for kids to ride free June 24-26 and July 1 or 3! Plus, I we have a “heads up” that they will have a Denver-area Groupon next Monday (June 27) for their fun Mountain Rails Concert Series.
The Family Film Festival at Aspen Grove continues this week with the movie Yogi Bear. Festivities start at 6 p.m. including booths, jumpy castles, games, entertainment and more and the movie begins at dusk.
I love (and often take my kids) on Tuesdays, when you can get three regular tacos for only $1.09. But they have added a second bargain night, on Thursdays, you can get three chicken soft tacos for $2.09.
