Denver Deal: Fabric Sale, Keystone Kidtopia, tours, and Restaurant Week

I am spending more time inside these days.  I stare at the walls of the kids rooms and think that perhaps I should redecorate or at least re-paint the walls.

Fabric and Trim

Through the end of the month (January 31) Interior Fabrics is holding its annual clearance sale.  Snag savings of as much as 66% on selected fabrics and trims. Pick up fabrics, trims, tassels, hardware and more. Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. 8253 S. Quebec St., Centennial; 303-221-0804.

Ballet Nouveau Colorado

Try out an adult or child’s ballet class at Ballet Nouveau (3001 Industrial Lane, Broomfield) for free.  Plus, if you attend and decide to sign up for a class you can save $10.

Keystone Kidtopia!

Celebrate with the kids at Keystone Resort.  Tour the Ultimate Snow Fort, go Disco Tubing, participate in the Village Parade or see the magic show.  Anyway you shake it, this is fun for the kids!

Free tours in and around Denver

If you are not big at skiing, this time of year can be a challenge for something to do – with the weather being so cold.  But here are some ideas for free tours that are fun for kids in and around Denver.

Celestial Seasonings – The largest herbal tea manufacturing plant is right here in Boulder, CO.  They offer FREE tours of how tea is made, packed and shipped.  (My kids can’t stop talking about the “mint room.”)  That makes for one tea party they surely won’t forget.

Hammond’s Candies – See how hard candy is made and get a sample or two along the way.  Free tours are offered every 30 minutes.

Denver Mint  - One of only four places in the United States that makes money!  Guided hourly tours are free, but you must have a reservation.

Meal Deals!

You can start making your reservations now for the upcoming (Feb 26-Mar 11) Denver Restaurant Week.  Several of Denver’s most exclusive restaurants are participating -  the Mile High Priced value meals for $52.80 are usually from a three-course set menu.  A great deal for a fantastic night out.

If you are more interested in a great deal that you know the whole family will enjoy, consider CiCi’s (everyday great deal).  CiCi’s features the $4.99 endless pizza, pasta, salad and dessert buffet or three medium takeout pizzas for just $9.99.
