Mile High Mamas’ Back-to-school Product Picks!

I will be on KDVR-TV (FOX 31) today at 9 a.m. talking about the following must-have items for school:

1). Airbak (airbak.com) – makes school backpacks easier to carry w/ less strain on the back and protects contents w/ inflatable internal air cushions.

There are more than 15,000 school backpack related injuries every year… Airbak is a new backpack invention that uses a patented, built-in air cushion technology to prevent back stress and make wearers feel as if they are carrying half the weight or less, as well as protecting the backpack contents, such as a laptop and other valuable gear. Simply pump the air pocket to the desired level, taking only seconds, and the Airbak’s inflated air pockets surround the contents with a shield of air and allow the pack to spread the weight more evenly throughout the back than a standard backpack, with the majority of the weight distributed to the core muscles of the hips and waist and resting easily on the top of the wearer’s gluteal muscles (rear end). 49.99, airbak.com

2). Sachi Bags (amazon.com) – most stylish lunch bags on the market

A definite upgrade from the brown paper bag or plain insulated sack. Sachi Bags are the most fashionable lunch bags on the market, coming in a variety of styles and designs, while still being very functional with its spacious, insulated storage area. Great for kids of all ages. 18.99, amazon.com

3). Eyeport (exerciseyoureyes.com) – helping kids learn better by enabling their eye-brain connection to process more information more quickly.

Studies show time and time again that poor vision performance is a critically important factor in reading and other academic skill development… Eyeport is a vision training system that improves visual performance naturally in less than 10 minutes a day. Through a combination of sound, color and light, the Eyeport optimizes the ability of the eyes to aim, track, focus and work together as a team. Kids using the Eyeport have drastically improved test scores in reading comprehension, reading speed, mathematics and other areas in every clinical test conducted. $199.99, exerciseyoureyes.com

4). FreshHangers (freshhanger.com) – making school clothes last longer and look and smell better with every wearing. $12.99, freshhanger.com

No kid wants to have their clothes smell musty… FreshHangers are covers that fit on any standard clothes hangers that utilize activated carbon technology to rid clothes of damaging or odor-causing substances. Protects clothes from deterioration and fading while in the closet. It literally absorbs everything from chemical odors and smoke to dampness and chlorine residue, deodorizing clothes and leaving them cleaner and fresher.

5). BumpyNames (inchbug.com) – for the preschool/kindergartener; super-easy personalized elastic orbit labels that fit over any drink or snack container, making sure kids and teachers know which container belongs to which kid. Switched snack and drink containers are the best way to spread sicknesses from kid to kid… The BumpyName Personalized Orbit Labels make it easy to ensure a child and their teacher will know which container belongs to which kid. $8.99/pack, Inchbug.com
