Win a GHD Styler to Straighten or Curl Your Hair (a $240 value)
CONTEST CLOSED.
When it comes to hair, it seems you always want what you cannot have.
I grew up with bone-straight hair and slept on pink sponge rollers every night. When I hit puberty, my hormones surged like a wave of electricity and curls were borne. I battled them for years with every straightener on the market but few did the job.
Until the GHD.
Short for “Good Hair Day,” I first experienced its wonders at a Mile High Mamas night out at Sephora. I was an instant convert. Never before has my mass of curls been so sleek, soft and straight.
The secret that celebrities like Penelope Cruz, Kate Winslet and Cate Blanchett have discovered? GHD’s unique ceramic technology heats up to its maximum temperature in seconds. But unlike other straighteners, it locks in moisture, natural oils and hair color for total hair protection without frying your hair.

It’s one thing to have a professional stylist perform wonders with the GHD. It’s another to do it yourself. I received a GHD to review and the process really is simple: Turn it on. Section off hair. Ensure iron is as close to the root as possible before closing the plates and gently move towards the tip of the section in one simple gliding movement.
And that is it. No redoing sections because of persisting frizzies. What took me close to 45 minutes to do with subpar straighteners took me less than 10 with the GHD.
Did I mention how straight and frizz-free it is?

Of course, many women like to also use the GHD to produce stunning curls and soft waves but I’ll stick with the straightener because I can finally have my cake…and eat it, too.
Mile High Mamas is thrilled to give away a GHD Styler (a $240 value) to one lucky mom! Please go here to enter. Contest deadline is April 30, 2010.
