Daily Deal-NextCare Offers Rx for Only $1

Colds. The flu. Seasonal allergies. It’s hard to combat spring ailments, but NextCare Urgent Care is helping mom and families combat the cost of treating them with $1 prescriptions.

NextCare Urgent Care is stepping up to help Colorado fight against high health care costs by offering a new program that provides patients with $1 prescriptions. The idea is to give residents increased access to health care by making prescriptions affordable. That’s important; especially for families who say health care is one of their most significant expenses. NextCare, which is one of the nation’s largest privately owned providers of urgent care and occupational medical services, has clinics in Arvada, Aurora, Broomfield, Greeley, Highlands Ranch and Longmont.

The $1 prescription program is part of NextCare’s medical innovations aimed at keeping health care costs manageable, increasing access to care, and providing convenience to patients by enabling them to get the prescriptions on-site at the clinics. NextCare does not bill the patients’ insurance for the remaining cost of the prescription, saving patients and their insurance company time and money.

Prescriptions covered by the program include antibiotics, along with cold and pain medication. The program is offered to patients who visit NextCare clinics for an acute, non-life-threatening medical need and are not covered by government-sponsored health plans or workers compensation claims. (Patients can visit NextCareDollar.com for additional program details.)

Along with $1 prescriptions, NextCare has devised a variety of options to ensure quality and accessible medical care. For example, through NextCare’s ValueCare program, individuals without insurance can receive affordable health care for acute, non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. NextCare also offers online check-in and WAHOO (Wait At Home Or Office) services that allow patients to stay in the comfort of their home or office until their exam room is available.

NextCare Urgent Care (nextcare.com) is one of the nation’s largest privately owned providers of urgent care and occupational medical services, known for bringing together service-driven healthcare and innovative medical technology to the delivery of medicine.
