Great piece. I remember watching the Olympics as a child and absolutely loving the dream that these athletes were living. Now as an adult, I get teary-eyed at victories and losses and wishing everyone could get to a place where they are living their own dream. I can't wait to watch with my kids this year! One of my favorite parts about the Olympics is getting to know the past and present athletes backgrounds. I also always wonder what it's like to be so famous and held in such high-regard and then to go on with life. It has to be so strange. It sounds like Bonnie is happy with where she's at and the memories she made and that's wonderful. I look forward to reading more behind-the-scence Olympic info on your other blog.
