Dear Mama Drama:
My two year old is potty training and has moved into wearing “big girl panties.” I am freaked out about taking her out of the house because I’m afraid she’ll have an accident and will become too discouraged. How can I take her out and help her to be successful?

Daily Deal-Thanksgiving Fun with Kids

We are having Thanksgiving at our house this year.  It is the first time in a couple of years.  We don’t live near family(except a brother in Fort Collins) so typically we are with church friends for Thanksgiving.  This year it’s the same, but we are hosting!

Since the Broncos are playing we decided to eat later in the afternoon so we could watch the game.  Both families have small children so I’ve been thinking about some fun stuff for the kids to do if they get bored with the game(which they most likely will).

Over the past few days I’ve come across some of these great Thanksgiving turkey treats that any child would love to make.oreo-thanksgiving-turkey

Here you can make a turkey with an oreo, mini m&ms, frosting, bell shaped chocolates, and candy corn.  Use the frosting to help the candy corn and m&m’s stay on the ‘bird’!

cinnamonturkeyOr here you can make a turkey with a biscuit(and a half), cinnamon roll, chocolate chips and some sprinkles.  The cinnamon roll is the base.  Take the full biscuit and cut it into 4 pieces for the feathers then use the 1/2 biscuit to make the beak and feet. (cut in half for beak and then the other half in half again to create the feet).

Caution-while these are both fun to make, they may cause a sugar rush!

Thanks Amanda and Jessica!
