In the Denver area and looking for some fun things to do with your family this weekend? The Mile High Mamas’ weekly event round-up has a little something for everyone!

Saturday. Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret is usually an adults-only kind of place, but kids are taking over for “Chad Allen’s Magic Matinee.” A member of the famous Academy of Magical Arts, Allen’s show isn’t just a series of disconnected tricks. Instead, he weaves the illusions together to tell a story about creating magic in the world. Allen’s afternoon shows at Lannie’s are for kids of all ages, and will also run Nov. 21 and 28. 2 p.m. Saturday. Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret, 1601 Arapahoe St.; 303-293-0075. Tickets are $10. Saturday. Feeling cranky? The Butterfly Pavilion has a remedy: “Wings and Strings,” a musical event that mixes chamber music with beautiful, fluttering butterflies. The Tropical Odyssey exhibit will be open for leisurely strolling, with soloists performing among the greenery. Members of the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra will also perform two short concerts in the pavilion’s ballroom. Kids are welcome — special musical activities will be available. 5:30-8 p.m. Saturday. Saturday. Check out the latest at the Museo de las Americas at the Target Family Free Day. The museum’s current major exhibit, “The Power of Then,” fuses the work of different artists into a larger statement about the impact of Latino/Chicano traditions on modern life. While the adults are pondering the heavy stuff and discussing modern art, kids can participate in art activites and visit with animal friends from the Denver Zoo. Noon to 5 p.m. Saturday. Sunday. Warm up your pipes for a boisterous evening singing along to “Fiddler on the Roof” at the Mizel Arts and Culture Center. Led by members of MACC’s Wolf Theatre Academy, the movie musical will play while everyone belts out the tunes. The subtitles will be on the film, in case anyone forgets the words to “Matchmaker” or “If I Were a Rich Man.” Guests are invited to dress up as a “Fiddler” character, too. 6 p.m. Sunday. Saturday. Follow the Ingalls family across America’s Great Plains when the Arts Power theater company presents “Laura Ingalls Wilder.” The musical adventure tracks Laura, Pa, Ma and sister Mary as they search for a place to call home in the pioneer days of the 19th century. The stories will be very familiar to fans of Ingalls books like “Little House on the Prairie” and “The Long Winter.” 1 p.m. Saturday. Lakewood Cultural Center, 470 S. Allison Pkwy.; 303-987-7845.
